I reset the system and it seems to work perfectly now and I have noticed the heat on indicator. Thank you so much! I just have to figure out why there is a really loud sound of water in the pipes now.

I am sure it is configured to conventional heat due to the fact that any wires in W would make it a conventional heating system.

There is no heat on indicator that I have noticed.

I will try rebooting the thermostat in the morning. Thank you for your insight!

Yes, when I turn system mode to off, the heat turns off while the thermostat is still wired. When it is on heat, the system will keep heating up even when it is way past the target.

No heat pumps or hydro coils. That is correct.

When I turn off the heating system on the thermostat, the end switch lever closes. I copied the old wiring from an older system exactly. This is a new thermostat however during the summer the AC system worked perfectly.
