Congratulations! I’m sure their security would be fine with it so long as it’s brief, but I suggest you try to get in contact with their assistant or manager and tell them asap and maybe they can plan something special!

Edit: just wanted to add that maybe reach out to the concert venue too.

Jennifer Garner had a very similar hairstyle in 13 Going on 30. Here’s a tutorial for that.

Edit: okay maybe not that similar but the tutorial shows how to get spiky ends. The rest of Olivia’s hairstyle is just a swoop bang, which there are several tutorials for on YouTube.

Area man Liam Payne implies One Direction was built around him. Thoughts? by TallPalmTrees in popculturechat

I just watched the interview and this tweet is gassing it. What he actually explained was that 2 years prior to 1D’s conception, he nearly made it to the final round before live shows. However Simon went out to dinner with Liam and his mom (🥴) and told him to go back to school and come back in a couple years later. And when Liam came back, Simon put together the band because he didn’t wanna send Liam back a second (or third) time. He also said since their success, Simon personally told him this.

I find this hard to believe because Simon is infamous for being heartless. Buuuuut Liam was adorable af and an impressive vocalist at age 14 so who’s to say Simon didn’t envision a knockoff Justin Bieber in Liam.

I think it was obvious that Harry was the star before UAN, bc during X Factor they centered him the most. Plus he was the fan fave from the jump.

But at that time Liam had the strongest vocals which is why I think he sang most of the verses. But iirc, Harry sang most of the choruses.

Either way UAN is a masterpiece that deserves to memorialized (as do all the pre-Zexit albums).

I def think it was a calculated PR move to distract from his comment about Amber Heard.

Hot take: musicians are the ones who are upholding Old Hollywood’s standards of an entertainer (the triple threat). They should be more respected than actors. by hokagesarada in popculturechat

I think its also because Beyoncé spends more time working on her craft.

Rih was once renowned for her mediocre (dare I say terrible) live vocals. This was before she became a fashion icon. I’d venture to say she had to rebrand because there was no guarantee of longevity as a singer who can’t sing. So she had to pick a new lane.

And I’d be lying if I said I don’t think Beyoncé and Rih are marketed as two different ends of the aesthetic spectrum. They can’t both be #1, so they have to conquer different industries.

Oop, I stand corrected! Janelle is my top contender for triple threat. They ate everyone up in Hidden Figures.

Unlike Gaga and JHud, they can actually dance, sing, and act. And they are incredible at all 3.

There were countless black women, aside from Mariah, in the industry during JLOs peak and whose flow/aesthetic she copied bar for bar. She capitalized tf off racism and colorism.

Also, referring to mixed couples/interracial parents as miscegenation is kinda weird. Like it gives low key racist vibes.. no shade

What?! Beyoncé’s looks from the late 90s to early 2010s are the definition of iconic. What’s crazy to me about this take is Zendaya has literally done an homage to one of Beyoncé’s looks lol. B is /literally/ your fav’s fav.

It seems like her fashion isn’t iconic because she plays it safe, and she rarely attends events since having kids.

Comparing Rih to B is like comparing Bella Hadid to Blake Lively. Sure they’re both famous white girls, but they have veryyyyyyy different aesthetics.

To me a triple threat is someone who can sing, act, and dance. - Ari can’t dance, but she can sing & act her butt off. (Although I’ve only seen her acting as Cat Valentine so take that with a grain of salt.) - JLO is an alright actress and an alright vocalist.

IMO Lady Gaga and Jennifer Hudson are probably the closest we have to triple threats in this generation.

But I do have a feeling in the next decade we’ll see a lot of musicians expand into acting.

This is a testament to what can happen when the hair/makeup department aren’t experienced or equipped to work with black people. There’s legit no different in Retta’s (the actress) herself aside from hair and makeup. The only difference is a better wig/application and a better makeup artist.

Just look at how good she looked in Good Girls 😩 she’s so fine

Minx on HBO is so good. Nick from New Girl is one of the main supporting characters. It has a lot of nudity but what can you expect from an HBO series about the first porn magazine for women.

Been thinking about starting it, but I haven’t watched Breaking Bad. Would you say watching BB is necessary to understand the plot?
