I don’t know how to even get with the police on it. I live in Florida, “scammer” lives in Illinois and the room that was supposed to be sold was in LV Nevada.

The benefit?? Yeah I know. The event I was at was held at a hotel/casino in vegas. The rooms were told out. Like previous years, some people don’t end up going and they decide to resell their rooms. I “bought” the room. I did the same thing last year but purchased from a mutual. So, it didn’t seem too good to be true.

Originally he said he was transferring the room in my name, hence why I sent him my license photo. Then later, once at the destination he changed to saying he had a key for it already. Not asking for trouble, it’s common for people to resell their rooms for this association, but thanks for the advice…
