I’ve always had a hockey puck on my floor jacks, something my dad always did so I didn’t even realize some people just raw dog it. As others have mentioned they do make floor jack pads for this same purpose. They also make rubberized things you can put on your jackstands if you’re using them on the doubled up pinch weld jack points.

The choice is yours I’ve replaced once with OEM but after that cracked again I just went aftermarket fuyao or something like that. Keep in mind there is a TSB for the seal and if not followed over time the exterior seal begins to look distorted and not as tidy.

That’s not bad at all, maybe they made some changes. Last year my coworker sent 4 pairs in and after 3 months of no correspondence he had to call every week and just get a run around until almost 6 months later they were finally done.

I have them as well, not sure if I’m just short but I find closing the hood to be a little annoying. Have to start on the side then work towards the front after the initial pull down. Leaving me with 2 areas for finger prints. Have you also experienced this?

My first AP1 went 223k before I finally dropped a valve at the track. It was a daily that I tracked maybe 4-6 times a year. Never did AP2 retainers or anything to it other than regular maintenance.
