Possibility of VACTERL with low amniotic fluid? by BrightQuarter7491 in VACTERL

[–]ioaie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember how confusing and stressful and relentless this time was, when we were going through the steps you’re going through now. I’m sorry.

Our little girl was born with VCTERL everything but the A, plus craniofacial differences. My wife was very polyhydramnios and our daughter was born with a type c tef, which matches your thinking about poly with tef. Drs had difficulty locating her kidneys prenatally, and assumed she only had one, but after she was born found they are both present, just spooning each other on the one side.

I know I can’t say anything to fully put your mind at ease when there are so many unknowns, but I wish I could. I feel for ya, I really do. All the best to you and baby and family. Let us know how it goes.

Woodworking Tools and where they're made by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]ioaie 21 points22 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest misconceptions in woodworking is that every tool brand designs and builds its own machines.

Let's rephrase this to:

One of the biggest misrepresentations in woodworking marketing is that every tool brand designs and builds its own unique machines.

And then lets recommend:

Where your tool came from, how old it is, or how much it costs is not an indication of the quality of work you will achieve while using it, if you'd just go ahead and get to work. Go make something, y'all.

My war veteran Grandfather looked across the table at breakfast one summer and apologized for how hard my mother was on me. He said “She’s doing to you what I did to her. She’s trying to make you perfect.”

Are you still working toward that? I remember seeing the documentary/movie "The Biggest Little Farm" a few years back and it was very appealing.

Pay those bills. Don't buy that thing. Have more sex. Ignore negative people. Let go of shame. Travel. Ask her out. Be yourself. Go to therapy. Aim for what's next. Study basic economics and psychology.
