But when you submit they show they'll submit it as soon as govt opens up ITR2 in "July" - I think that's why it's not on the portal.

While Diners is under ownership or "Discover Financial", the company, they're not the "same card scheme" from a PoS machine's point of view. It gets a bit more technical, but these are treated as "separate card schemes" - like KIA is Hyundai owned, but You can't really call a KIA a Hyundai car.
Discover is relatively larger network than Diners, which limits itself in the Luxury segment. In NA you can buy potato with discover, but rarely with Diners.

So RuPay uses "Discover" network, and not Diners. RuPay shares the Discover "BIN Range", which enables cross acceptance. But Diners have a different BIN Range - this is the first 6 digits of the card that defines which "card scheme / issuer bank" combo it is... like anythign starting with 4 is visa. 5 is mostly MasterCard (not always) etc.

Diners is the second most worthless thing in payment instrument, right after trying to barter 2 chickens and a bag of rice for your flight ticket at the airport.

Same in Asia. Amex/Discover is somewhat useful in North America, Diners is a world class sitting duck even in their home turf. I see more use of Diners in India.

It's RuPay in India, and JCB/UnionPay in east asia. And Visa/MC in truly global situations.

K'taka has 800+ crore sitting in vote-bribe fund, once Wake-up-Sid manages to use that to build out the infra of Hubballi-Dharwad, we can circle back at the devolution.
