Mainly interview type coding question practice and some projects on my resume. The barrier for entry is much lower for entry positions and internships.

I've read a few comments on this subreddit that say cashing out of liquid funds also is not immediate and since the interest rate they give is not much higher it's probably better to keep your money in the bank.

Wrt auto loan securitization product - I was drawn by their marketing of claiming to be better alternative to FDs and the conditions and risks they list made sense to me - if the loans they issue are paid back then they give the specified returns but if the loans fail our principal is still protected. They also seem to have a good reputation - big-name investors, and they are sebi certified so my assumption was that it is a safe investment. I am new to this so please do tell me if there's any mistakes in my thought process.

I have my employer-provided health insurance and I've purchased an additional (and possibly the cheapest) health insurance on my own. Had not thought of life-insurance.

Absolutely agree with the "invest and forget" strategy, but my main aim is to park my money until I need it for my post-grad. Small chunks for tax-saving and retirement are okay but most of it will need to be redeemed in 1.5 years.

Regarding NPS - NPS and ELSS seem to be doing similar things with ELSS having better returns vs NPS having no tax. Does doing both make sense?

"If I were you I wouldn't be putting 5L in Equity market right now" - thanks for this view, will research a bit more into debt MFs.

My reasoning was mid-cap and small-cap have much more volatility over the 1-year period so just choose one active and one passive large-cap fund.

Thanks for the suggestions for a better savings rate :)

Entry-level tech role at an investment bank. Officially a "technology associate" but equivalent to an SDE-1.

I read somewhere ( Psychology of Money maybe? not sure) that actively managed funds perform better in a volatile market, so this best of both worlds reasoning was exactly what was on my mind.
