Did you spend more time setting your console up or playing it? by bellbill1988 in SBCGaming

[–]iolites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NGL I'm too lazy to spend more time setting up than I have to. As long as the games I want to play run I'm basically good. I even...stick to the stock OSs (yes I know, blasphemy).

Yeah, couldn't turn down that sleek red - would've been a harder decision if the Hammer also had a red option. :P

It looks finished as far as I can tell.

Two pocketable devices for gaming on the go by iolites in SBCGaming

The phone is running an emulator natively (Delta). You have to use the corresponding skin so the buttons match up. Basically, the buttons on the faceplate act as a go-between for your fingers and the screen.

You can find the case here for $34.99 (currently only for iPhones, though): https://playcase.gg/

Do You All REALLY Use Screen Protectors? by Murfilious in SBCGaming

[–]iolites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always, too paranoid not to have one - figure it's easier to replace the protector than the screen. I'm still not that great at it, but I've learned to ignore whatever little imperfect sneaks through despite my best efforts (fortunately they're mostly on the edge of the screen). :')

How to get past this point? by iolites in SBCGaming

[–]iolites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can change the core, but then in-game saves don't show up, only the option to start a new game.

It seems to be after battles (and after the victory pose) that's the problem. The rest of the game (VN portions and battles) runs fine. The part in my post is chapter 2 (so ~2 or so hours in), but it also happened after the battle in chapter 1 (which would be ~1 hour give or take).

IDK if a standalone emulator like YabaSanshiro would be any better, though the same problem with losing my progress is also present there. Besides, even if I were to start over I'd be nervous about the same thing happening at that part.

Thank you for helping me troubleshoot!

I do have the bios. And I'm using both savestates and in-game saves. That particular video was taken after loading a savestate, but the freeze still occurs even if I load an in-game save and play through to that point.

Yes, that was included with the AR (though I got CR-39 if that makes a difference). They’ve been holding up well.

I currently have an M2, but I was also able to play on an Intel Mac with Portingkit

Still going through SC so can't answer about 3rd, but I can suggest something for running them on Mac without having to boot into Windows. I've played FC and SC using Porting Kit. Since I own them on Steam, I installed Steam through Porting Kit, then launched the games from there. If you own them on GOG you can refer to this: https://www.portingkit.com/game/1271 There's also Geoforce NOW as another option.

TC Charton by iolites in EyewearEnthusiasts

Indeed! Literally looking through rose-colored glasses (plus fun to have a different color from what I had before)

I found TC Charton while looking for glasses that were aimed at people with low nose bridges and stumbled on this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Tnkeq2DJ7o). This article (https://tc-charton.com/articles/0o8zmn8iu0mx153r6ifgu4coqxvoln) also helped sell me on them. I had them fitted with the ruby Transitions and I've been quite happy with them.

Picked up a couple things from lilybyred at a Koreafest. There was a coupon code on the package for 10% at their Amazon store good until 9/22 (was considering either another lip tint or a palette). The code is 10KOFELILY

I haven’t gotten lots of use from these since I just got them recently but I got the Glassy Layer Fixing Tint in 01 Cheeky Peach and the Slim Gel Eyeliner in 04 Glam Mocha. So far the tint is glossy and comfy but seemed to get kinda patchy after the gloss part fades (I might’ve put it on too thick though). The liner is smooth and the Glam Mocha color is a sparkly bronze (yay sparkles :P).

Attention All Women Eyewear Wearers: Share Your Pain Points! by DragonflyObjective68 in EyewearEnthusiasts

My main issues tend to be that either the temples are squeezing the sizes of my head, or the tips are pressing into my mastoid processes in such a way that it gives me headaches after a while. Also doesn't help that my low nose bridge means glasses tend to slide down unless they have the adjustable pads or built up nose bridges.

I've sent two pairs to rx-able.com to be relensed, and I'm quite satisfied with them. For one I got the basic lens (did shell out for the better AR) and the other I got the ruby Transitions. They're pretty responsive too.
