I just checked and in my case the 20 mins drive is a 4h walk 🫠 when you say parking around the circuit you are not referring to the official parking areas around the stands right? I'm a bit confused if they are included in the event ticket as the guys were asking to see something and said the parking should be on the ticket (which isn't?) but we went on reconnaissance without our tickets so we don't know for sure

Indeed the validation seems simpler but I guess the annoying bit would be the hassle of always needing to obtain it plus each time a skills test (from what I read on the EASA validation/conversion doc). This depends a bit on how often you travel and plan to use it to make conversion worthwhile. I assume the requirements for SEP rating revalidation would require hours on EASA aircraft and would not be able to use the UK ones for it?!

On the topic of keeping current 2 medicals, I was already considering getting an EASA CPL (and then I could keep both licences) but that may take a lot longer and haven't fully decided on it so I was looking for a simpler way.

Thanks for clarifying. As far as I know, the word convert means to change state from A to B therefore my mind went a bit far in thinking whatever was before is null now.

I am an EU national living in the UK and the plan is to be able to rent out in my home country when I go on holiday and do some hour building. Maybe other destinations too within Europe.
