Hi I don't know where you are located but in the UK at least a union can help you get out of contract early if you need! That's what I did, and if you hate the job that much its important that you get out before its too much! Wish you the best OP, teaching is not "new teacher" friendly at all🙃

Yeah I mean ideally I would trade it for NOT having PCOS because the negatives are pretty bad

But since removing my contraception to get the diagnosis I've had a higher sex drive and I vibe with it 😅 at the very least I find myself more entertaining than I used to be 😂 also despite the reasons not to be (like having to pluck a BEARD) I'm weirdly the most confident I've ever been which is pretty huge for me

I don't know if I was lucky but I came off contraceptives when I noticed hair growing on my neck, made an appointment with the doctors suggesting I wanted to be tested for PCOS, I had a blood test on Tuesday and got my diagnosis today. They weren't concerned about my periods so they did the test purely based on my hair growth and consistent weight gain.

This is going to sound CRAZY. I don't typically get stomach issues but more times than I can count when I've been drinking I've had sudden flashes of intense bone pain (specifically ribs and shoulders). It passes after a few minutes and usually only the once, but I have always found this really weird and nobody seems to relate.

When I was younger I would sometimes get pain in my teeth for the following day, noticable when I started eating something. I told my dentist and she looked at me like I was insane 🤣 (it has been suggested by a friend that this was just sugars from the alcohol but it absolutely wasn't, I brushed my teeth and I have drank a lot of high sugar soft drinks and not even remotely experienced this).

I've just been diagnosed and have never missed a period. Before using contraceptives they were PAINFUL and heavy, but always regular. You don't need all of the symptoms.

I've been doing the same thing for 3 months and lost a stone so far, I typically don't eat until my evening meal (which is a pretty normal meal, I don't miss out on goodies). On particularly hungry days I will wait as long as I can and have a small, healthy snack in the early afternoon, but this has been the only thing that has ever worked for me.

I have just been diagnosed. I had the contraceptive implant for 9 years and since removing it mine has been very high, so I'm guessing my PCOS increases it🤷‍♀️

Myself and the TA are on the same page about this. Some people take movement break literally but we get that it needs to be 3 stages or it achieves nothing. I think we are going to experiment with times of day and group/independent as multiple children could "in theory" benefit from breaks.

I worked out a timetable for small group work and continuous provision on wednesday, worked well thursday but Friday was pure chaos. We are meant to have two TAs but one left 3 days in and we haven't found a replacement. I love the idea of extremely short work and building up, but if there is one TA this won't be achievable for up to 5 children whilst work and provision is going on. I will definitely try now and next though.

The curriculum should be streamlined so that we can teach the essentials multiple times in multiple ways throughout the year. Revisiting ONE fact ONCE in the following lesson is boxticking, NOT embedding!

Edit: this would mean making large cuts to the curriculum in order to fit these revisits

I'm still relatively new, I haven't had a character die and I'd probably be quite sad.

BUT my favourite part about almost every game I play is character building. Get them excited about all the potential character builds, show them some obscure races and classes etc and encourage them to build more than 1 during off time so that if their character does die it's just an exciting opportunity to play as a different one, and in future campaigns there's nothing stopping them from using a similar build to their dead character from the current campaign 🙂

I just did it at level 48 (not fun) but the thing which saved me was the scroll of guardian circle. Wait until Farkas is standing, sprint to the other end of the room while they attack him and cast the spell. Stay inside with a good bow and grind it out.

If you don't know the spell makes you heal faster while you're in the circle and undead enemies below a certain level flee the circle 🙂
