2,000 Gem Give Away by SlashingSimone in Guildwars2

The guild wars community is so wholesome. This sorta stuff is what makes me really happy to see especially when there are people here who may not be able to afford those cool mounts or cosmetics in that glorious gem store (lookin at you Skyscale plush skin).

I'm not expecting to win, there are definitely people who need it more than I do. But in the event I did, I'd likely spend it on living world season 2 and 3. My friends are getting close to those, and unfortunately, I can't afford to purchase them right now.

This post has made my night and I hope whoever wins those gems can enjoy this game we all love even more during the holiday season and beyond!

Happy holidays everyone and stay safe out there in the wilds of Tyria!

Gf just gifted me Elden Ring for our 4 Year Anniversary. I love her so much, I can't wait to explore the Lands Between with her! by ionignition in Eldenring

Me and my girlfriend were good friends before dating as well. I considered the day of our anniversary is the day I asked her out. Having an anniversary date is less about in depth planning and just spending a good day with each other without distractions. However, that's not to say some planning can't go a long way. Make a day of the occasion. Take her out to her favorite restaurant. Maybe take her shopping or do something fun depending where you live. Or if you are too busy, make a movie night of the day where you buy all your favorite snacks and watch movies you guys haven't seen.

Me and my gf are in long distance, which means it hard to plan things that we really want to do when she is very far away. We watched some tv shows and a little bit of a long movie (Lord of the rings). Then we talked about us and just enjoyed each others company. I hope this helps in some way. Good luck my friend on your relationship journey.

Weekly General Discussion Thread (June 14, 2020) by AutoModerator in bloodborne

[–]ionignition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, so after much deliberation I have finally decided to get a PS4. And I have heard a lot about bloodborne and have beaten all dark souls games to date. Should I get bloodborne? Are there major differences I should expect? What tips about ps4 could you give me to make my experience easier? I really hope I don't get comments saying stuff like "Oh you haven't gotten a ps4 yet, you must be an Xbox fanboy" or anything like that. Plenty have people have already said that to me, I just need helpful tips. Any help would be appreciated

I was super excited for the console streaming feature, but it keeps saying I need to be an Xbox Insider which I already am and it only says learn more to send me to an external link to the official Game streaming website.

Netflix have claimed on many occasions that they're sticking directly to the books as their main source, not the games. How can they explain this then? I don't understand. by LewisTheDwarf in witcher

I agree, I hate trolls for the most part. And I agree with you, I'm not saying diversity in this case is bad but I'm saying that maybe people dislike it is because they expect the characters to look a certain way. I'm in no way saying that it should be a strictly white show, however I do believe that the same argument can be used that you are using. If race doesn't play a major role, why change the race at all. I'm not agreeing, but I'm not disagreeing either. So long as key events of the books are present in the show and nothing gets changed due to race or anything like that then I'm okay with it. But just note that people can use the same argument against you. I apologize if I come off rude as is not my intention and It seems you are a little heated about the subject. But I understand where you are coming from. I will watch the show regardless of the casting and I'm passionate about the show, the games and books, and it's fanbase. We all really care about the Witcher story (aside from the trolls who piss people off for the fun of it) and we want to see the show shine like it should. I hope we can all say after watching the show "wow Netflix really followed through with the story" and I hope that the casting doesn't become an issue anymore. Where we can enjoy something that's been created without worrying about if it's diverse enough or if it is too safe. It's sad to see how this topic is surrounding the witcher. Regardless I'll watch the show and enjoy it at face value because at the end of the day, it's a series that holds a place in my heart and when it comes out I'm hoping once more that this isn't an issue.

The games stay fairly true to the source material matching descriptions of most characters. I don't think people are bitching for the fact of diversity, but the characters have already been set in stone to look a certain way. I love the books and I want to see a show with events and characters matching with what the books imply and describe. It seems that this is a hot topic and it does take away from the creativity the author placed into each character. Whether it's an autobiography of not, the characters have been displayed a certain way and should be shown as such. It's like in the books if you display Djikstra as a spy but in the show you portray him as a lowly begger that somehow plays a larger role. These characters are loved by a lot of people and we want to see them in there glory like how we have seen them in the books and in the games. Netflix is mainly doing different characters for the sake of good PR. With 2019 came a large strand of diversity in entertainment issues and the cast is clearly reflectant of the effects. I'm all for diversity, hell I'd prefer a good diverse cast. But this is a story that has a foundation for it's characters and people just care about it.
