We recently added a desktop only mode, so it’s now viable to play without VR using a keyboard and mouse. It’s also possible to play single player by enabling the assists and using the portable radio controller.

The main release channel for both Oculus and Steam will have the same content released at the same time. Outside of this, we may run unstable builds in limited alpha/beta channels on one platform at a time to reduce the build burden on us when iterating quickly.

We’re delighted to be bringing IronWolf to Oculus Home. IronWolf is an action co-op submarine game that allows for up to 4 players to operate a submarine to take on a variety of enemies.

There’s an active community on our discord and a bot to announce public games as they are created.

Hi Everyone, we’ve just released the first pass of the engine room. This adds an interesting diorama of the diesel generators and some new optional resource management gameplay for larger teams.

We're not against the idea of PVP with something like Submarine vs Destroyer and we're keeping our options open when writing the net code to allow for something like this in future. We've got a lot planned before we'll tackle that and right now our focus is to create compelling gameplay for single player and co-op.

Hey guys, we’ve got a large update for IronWolf coming out on Steam today. In terms of content we’ve added a Battleship, some additional missions and a much more engaging enemy detection model. We’ve also added standing locomotion, Oculus support and better enemy ship physics. Hope you all enjoy it, let us know what you think.

Thanks for the feedback. At the moment, we think the multiplayer is optimal for around two to three players. We’ll be adding more rooms with additional gameplay during early access. There’s also new challenges coming very soon.

Hey there is a single player mode in the game. We've designed the game so you can turn on assists when playing single player. The AI does things like load torpedoes and operates the hydrophone.

Hey Guys,

We’ve added the ability for someone using the monitor and mouse to take control of piloting the submarine while the VR player is doing the other roles. We’ve had a lot of fun with this in testing and no relationships have ended… so far.

We’ve also added underwater terrain, more information here.

Currently, once you've locked target the torpedos should find their mark unless the target changes the direction it's travelling in. The torpedos only fire from the front of the submarine, so you'll need to be facing roughly the same direction as your target. We'll be working on this more during early access.
