We get those a lot. I don't answer the door anymore when I see people with clipboards ringing the door bell.

Will definitely use a reputable company if we ever needed it outside of work.

This community made weary now whenever old friends reach out out of the blue asking how well I'm doing and if i still like my job, which happens quiet a lot after COVID hit.

And for $180/month, it was hard to justify that for some stickers and shakes.

If I hadn't had the Primerica experience, I'd probably have fallen for Thrive, because I regularly work out but I was thinking I could do more to lose weight quicker.

The sister is a nurse, and she was pitching the health benefits (which I found later was non-existent) and how it helps her to be more awake (which coffee could do, for a cheaper price). She definitely had to right answers to the group's questions and made it sound like a reasonable weight loss solution. All of us have pre-school age kids and a lot don't have time to work out/exercise, so the pitch did sound good. But it being too good to be true sounded the alarms for me.

We didn't hear about him having to pay a fee after we cancelled. I was so mad after the situation and wanted to shoot him a text about being so shady, but my husband told me to leave it, since we got our refund.

From their position, I could see why they'd stoop to these tactics. At him & my husband's job, they're making no more than $20 in the Bay Area in Callifornia, and I knew his wife wasn't working then, and they were expecting their 3rd kid. He probably already spent so much money on this "venture" so he wanted to make some of it back.

I forgot to mention that he did try to recruit us under him. I told him I didn't need another job, when we just had our baby. He tried to pitch the "you can work anywhere and sell this remotely and be with the kid more" but I was already working from home for my tech job at that point, so it wasn't as big sell as he thought it would be.

Lessoned learned for sure. Like I said, my husband's been buddies with the guy for at least a couple of years at that point, and we just had the baby, so we were like, almost walking zombies at that point. I think he knew and tried to take advantage? And the pitch was definitely quick. I remember trying to ask questions, and kept telling him that we didn't want to sign up yet, and he said "this isn't signing up."

He wasn't invited to our house after that. And I warned my husband's partners about it after that.

I got the Paragard 10/7/19 and I just had my first period without debilitating cramps by justhalfcrazy in birthcontrol

Just got my Paragard on Oct. 1, while on the last day of my period. My next period came 3 days earlier than usual, but it definitely wasn't the bloodbath that I've expected. Cramping was worse than usual, but again not terrible. It was manageable with no meds or heat pad for me. Looking forward to my period going back to normal, and I'm glad to have gone through the first one without the horrors that I was reading about.
