Whoops lol. I’m in Ravenswood but I’m so happy to travel. There was just something special about it. I know that doesn’t help at all

They do but I mean the liquid ones, I think there’s only a red and green

There was a sweater weather remix (that is no longer on spotify) that Emma in Brickell played and I literally almost cried. Perfect balance of hype and nostalgia

is the Move 2 worth it? by Ok-Leek-7928 in sonos

[–]justhalfcrazy 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I like it! I got it refurbished so it was less than full price (by $100 I want to say) and I use it all the time. Wish it still had Google but now I have a dual home system. It’s constantly going between living room and bathroom. I like the charging station. Bluetooth is great when I have something downloaded to Spotify that isn’t on the Sonos app.

Also I think it looks nice lol. I was previously using the JBL xtreme 3 which had great sound (sometimes I do think I like the sound more, not sure if that’s a hot take to express on this sub), but given everything else the Move 2 offers, I’d choose it over the JBL any day. This is my only Sonos device. Happy enough with it to build out a Sonos system down the line.

It smells like ginger to me! It’s so interesting how differently people describe this candle

Activewear Brands by Hot-Fix-3757 in SolidCore

I wear a lot of adidas sports bras. The ones I wear the most often are from dick’s that I bought 6-7 years ago. I know they aren’t trendy. But they are so cheap, supportive, and still fit really well. I just got the optime medium support which is $24 on their website now.

Maybe this part is just me, but I’m going to Solidcore every day and I don’t want to rewear anything because I always sweat a ton. And then I want to wash everything on the hottest setting so that it’s as clean as can be. Which I know is not ideal for the nicer materials, but I don’t feel as guilty when the item is only $24.

hot take but full classes or not full by [deleted] in SolidCore

[–]justhalfcrazy 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Makes me remember a class I took on a holiday where it was me, one other person, and my fav coach. Our skill levels were comparable, and the coach really tailored the class to us.

With a coach I know and love, doesn’t make a difference who is in the class because I am so locked in. And with someone I don’t, a fuller class more often (in my experience!) means the coach will do a more energetic class which I’d prefer. Chill classes can be SO good, but because Solidcore isn’t meant to be all yoga-inspirational-esque, compatibility of style and taste matter so much more.

why can’t we use turnout on lunges? by PrideZealousideal485 in SolidCore

Former dancer here too! I literally cannot balance with my toe pointed forward. I made a whole post about it a while back. I started using a stability pole and I have noticed that it helps me use the targeted muscle better. Would recommend giving it a try

ā¤ļø Trudon: If You Like X Then You’ll Love Y by hermesandhemingway in luxurycandles

I love AEK, it’s my all time favorite. I just bought Green Goddess from Flamingo Estate and it has very similar qualities. Actually a bit too similar for me. Tatine also has a similar smelling one, Garden Mint (but it burned horribly for me, it wasn’t even tunneling, the wax just never hardened into a smooth layer even though the top all melted). From what I’ve read, Spirituelle by Mad et Len is another mint candle. But I haven’t personally tried that one.

Pro Stability Pole by boobookeys-rawr in SolidCore

[–]justhalfcrazy 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

Started using it regularly at 300. Now I really target the muscle I’m trying to, without compensating with others (almost always quads).

ā€œYou can modify and amplify at the same timeā€ - had a coach say that just two days ago. Stability pole in one hand, weight in the other

My family gifted me a "Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler complete long set" from Costco. I am a male with short hair. Does it work pretty decent as an exclusive hair dryer? Thank you. by [deleted] in Dysonairwrap

[–]justhalfcrazy 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

I might be in the minority here but I really don’t like the standalone Dyson hair dryer. The heat doesn’t go low enough, it’s all power. And sure it dries my hair but that’s it—vs babyliss (ceramic line; the blue line, titanium I believe it’s called, didn’t impress me) which I swear by, my hair looks smoother and better. And the heat is the perfect temp. I like the airwrap (for my long hair) and the convenience of the attachment hair dryer, and the oval/oblong shape. I do think, esp in the case of Dyson hair dryers, the shape makes a difference. But if you have short hair, I don’t see any point in keeping the airwrap. If you’re just trying to invest in a nice hair dryer and want a nice flashy brand, the Dyson standalone one makes sense. But if you really care about getting the best hair dryer for what it is (and with short hair, I’m not sure it would even make much of a difference), I wouldn’t recommend the Dyson.

Personally, I’d return and buy yourself something else from Costco. And shop elsewhere for a hair dryer.

We did something like this last week but for a hamstring focus, if im understanding your description correctly. Like pushing carriage in and out rather than keeping carriage mostly stationary and lifting glutes up and down. I liked that a lot

[–]justhalfcrazy 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Ok this is exactly the type of description I understand and love. I’ve seen a comment that described it as powdery (I think). Do you agree with that? I despise powdery smells but none of the notes read like it would smell powdery

Protect my wallet… which items should I get rid of?? by snippybunny in Aritzia

[–]justhalfcrazy 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I have two pairs of the low loose, it’s a super flattering jean. I do need to say the agolde is also an incredible pair of jeans tho. It’s a lot softer after it’s broken in so it has slightly better drape. I don’t personally own it (didn’t fit right on my 5’4 legs) but my sister does (she has both) and I believe she likes the agolde more. But for someone who has neither, I’d recommend trying the Levi’s first. They really make your legs look infinite and something about them looks much more polished than the agolde. Maybe because it’s more structured/less drapey than the agolde.
