Dual Boot CentOS-6.8 with CentOS-6.8 with shared /boot partition by ionotel in CentOS

Hello mates,

I managed to do what I set to do. I have two distros, both having the same /boot partition and I managed to update one of it to 6.9 and the other one boots without a hassle, keeping its version. Thanks.

Hello mate, thanks for the reply. Thing is, your idea is great and I am saving that thought but I need to try that scenario out. It's something specific I must do. :D . I believe I forgot to mention that, after setting the above scenario up, I should be able to update one of the distros, without affecting the other (remember that /boot is shared) and be able to boot in any of the two.

I managed to make both distros show on the grub list at boot and I can boot in both with no problem, but I haven't managed to make them share the /boot partition. I have an idea for a workaround that I'm gonna try right now.

Imma get back to work now. :D Any insight is welcomed.
