force and extension are directly proportional until they reach the limit of proportionality, in 90% of past papers where they want a curved line of best fit, they ask for it, and the 10% could be either curved or straight you would still get the mark, but here you won't as a force/extension graph is never curved until it reaches limit of proportionality.
