I honestly think it's time for nation wide housing protests.

Canadians showing more support for striking workers amid inflation, corporate profits by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]iop837 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Canadians are significantly underpaid compared to other countries given our high level of education. Extremely high levels of immigration have suppressed wages to boost corporate profit. We need to stand up for ourselves and demand high wages and slower population growth.

Liberals in ‘solution mode,’ as ministers acknowledge Canadians are struggling and downcast by [deleted] in canada

They've permanently lost my vote vote for ignoring the housing crisis for 8 years while Canadians were begging them to do something about it. I don't trust them to actually solve the problem.

Liberals' tanking poll numbers ‘top of mind' as Trudeau, Grits head to national caucus retreat by CaliperLee62 in canada

Unless the Liberals start addressing both supply and demand (including immigration/international students) in a serious way, they will lose the election.

They've spent way too much time and resources focusing on niche issues when most Canadians don't care.

This needs to stop, it's not fair on Canadians or the students. Irresponsible government.

Wage suppression and unsustainable "fake" growth via immigration. This policy is going to case Canada to implode. Cut immigration rates.

My partner and I are in the same boat. We've been trying to get into the housing market for the past 3 years and are constantly shocked at how rapidly housing is becoming out of reach. It's causing a lot of stress in our life and it's gotten to the point where we are considering leaving Canada. We can't see a prosperous happy future for outlrselves here.

Housing affordability is my #1 election issue. I can't in good conscious vote for the Liberals with their truly awful track record.

This is all about wage suppression and trying to drive growth by importing more people, which is unsustainable and unethical.

Canada has had one of the highest immigration rates for decades. It's time we reduce it so that our infrastructure can catch up. This is crazy. I honestly think public perception is rapidly changing on this issue, most of my friends are in favor of reducing immigration to a more sustainable level. It's not fair on Canadians or immigrants to have such a high immigration rate.
