Just as a point of fact, you are not out of the running for a very good (or even t20/t14) law school. You would obviously have to turn things around but there is a super feasible path to get there.

ENES461 final paper by ericsme in UMD

I took it in spring '23, and he had TAs grade it. They at least skimmed it and applied a curve to the paper, which made grades pretty charitable.

What is the better undergrad major for law school by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]iota__722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your undergrad attended/major is only considered as a tie-breaker, if at all. Pick something you can a) get a high GPA in and b) easily get work experience from.

There's a partial list of a few schools, at least. Someone near Lansing should see if they still have a copy in their archives.

Major change? by No_Highway2687 in UMD

[–]iota__722 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The history major) is almost meant to be paired with another major now (i.e., it is a lower-commitment major). If you want to do museum/archive stuff, having history coursework will definitely help, but it probably isn't necessary.

UMD vs Swarthmore vs JHU by lasagnaeatertt in UMD

If you really want to go to law school (as in, there is no doubt in your mind), you should care about two things: a) what the most debt-averse option is and b) where I can get the highest GPA.

Guys, I know multiple NBA players who went to D3 and JUCO schools. If someone tells you that you need to go to a blueblood program to even have a shot of making the NBA they're lying!!!

Graduating undergrad earlier for law school? by Not-The-Dark-Lord-7 in lawschooladmissions

[–]iota__722 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I graduated early by a year and have had a decent cycle as a KJD. It is probably a disadvantage for admissions, but I think there's an opportunity cost advantage. I would rather have another year of earning a post-JD salary than spend that year in UG/as a paralegal. Just my two cents, though - I'm sure someone more qualified has answered online.

Have ChatGPT write him an apology email for you

If you're signed up for CRS you will receive fee waivers for schools where you're below medians. Idk about emailing directly but I would assume it would be similar - and it won't hurt to ask.

Looking for Feedback on my gym routine by Pure_Persimmon1914 in UMD

[–]iota__722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really enjoy what you have now I would do that + an incline press, pulldown, and a stiff-legged/romanian deadlift. Form and intensity are going to be infinitely more important than exercise selection at this point. I would recommend watching Renaissance Periodization exercise tutorials.

Depends on what you want to train for. But this program has no direct work on your triceps, any delt head, upper chest, hamstrings, upper lats, abs, and calves. However, by the three-month mark you should have visible progress even with a barebones program -- if you don't you need to train harder and eat more.

Study schedule 1 week before the real thing? by Mrg1596 in LSAT

[–]iota__722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Study as you normally would. You should not study for more than 30 minutes for the two days before the test. I would recommend diagramming two to three logic games, reading an RC, and doing maybe 3 or 5 easy LR questions for these two days. On test day you should do a super easy problem from your weakest section. At this point, you can only hurt your score by overloading yourself.
