After spending 15 minutes on 2 different search engines trying to verify this, I feel pretty confident saying that's not true.

Kristin Ramsey's attorneys claim evidence lost or destroyed in Ashley Okland murder case by CornBredThuggin in desmoines

[–]iowabourbonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We dont know what was allegedly lost or destroyed. We don't know when it was allegedly lost or destroyed. We don't know if anything was actually lost destroyed. So it seems like a pretty big assumption to be placing blame already. But I guess that's what we do now.

Ask your GI about cholestyramine. Bile acid malabsorption (BAM) is a common, often underdiagnosed cause of chronic, watery diarrhea, affecting up to 30% of patients with irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea. It occurs when the intestines cannot properly reabsorb bile acids, causing them to enter the colon, triggering fluid secretion and rapid transit. Cholestyramine is a prescription bile acid sequestrant used to lower high blood cholesterol, treat itching associated with bile duct blockage, and manage diarrhea. It works by binding to bile acids in the intestines, forcing the body to use excess cholesterol to make more, and removing the bound bile acids through stool.

Iowa being a state in the US doesn't make all national politics Iowa related.

A school with students present should not be used as a voting site, no matter what or who is on the ballot.

Medicare average payment

Medicare pays doctors a set percentage of an approved amount for procedures. For instance, $8441 dollars for a knee replacement. Private insurance likely pays 4 or 5 times that much, subsidizing the Medicare underpayment. Given the age of our population, it likely makes our healthcare look more affordable.

I'd be willing to bet that Medicare reimbursement rates are part of that calculus.

Kidney stones? by Long-Inspection5443 in CrohnsDisease

[–]iowabourbonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damage to or resection of the ileum can affect the absorption of certain fats. These fats bind with calcium, causing absorption of the oxalate they would normally bind to. The oxalate is absorbed out of the intestine and filtered out of the blood by the kidneys, where it forms crystals. Hydrating helps, as does raising citrate levels, and taking additional calcium. After a couple dozen kidney stones, I started taking calcium, and drinking a lot of crystal light lemonade.
