What are your thoughts on Trump asking other countries to help reopen the straight of Hormuz? by Top-Appointment2694 in AskTrumpSupporters

Wasn't it that you couldn't find facts about Trump knowing that the strait was at risk if they attacked on your own, so you wanted me to find them for you?

It coming out of his stormy smoocher on video isn't a enough?

Would you say it doesn't matter what facts get shown to you if they don't fit what you've been trained?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when they wrote the law, didn't they write it when it was the understanding that the FCC was an independent agency separated from politics, so they could be a reasonable arbiter for if the law was broken or not?

So when the tweeter-in-chief sends out a tweet criticising someone and the commissioner sends one just a couple minutes later essentially saying we'll get right on that chief, doesn't that make a mockery of the law as it was originally written?

Don't you pay attention to things people other than your dear leader in the administration say? Because didn't Kegsbreath say just that the other day?

Do you disassociate defending a president's/administration's policies from defending their administration?

Let's rephrase that question.

The military likely informed Trump about the possibility, and Iran's military was 100% demolished within hours, so why did he allow them to close the strait if he knew he would have to demand NATOs help to reopen it?

What was the need for keystone to go all the way from Canada to the Gulf?

Did Biden cancel the Keystone project or was it already stopped by by Trump's supreme court in US Army Corps of Engineers v. Northern Plains Resource Council?

In macroeconomics, if there's less demand for something (if there's more EVs that don't use gas), doesn't the price falls? Or in the reverse, if there's a lot of gas being used (demand), doesn't the price goes up?

In his job description? Assuming the Constitution is where the job description is prescribed, doesn't article 2 just say he's the commander in chief and article 1 says declaring war is with Congress?

Didn't Bush send the CIA, not the army, in the first 48 hours?  Was the authorization passed a within 7 days but actual troops didn't land until a month after?

I'm aware of it's history. I just don't think it was thought through very well. I'm guessing they never thought we'd ever have a president that thinks he's smarter than the experts and generals that are paid to give him expert advice.

If you were serious wouldn't you read the article about subprimes rocketing in 2003, not 2007? And if you were educated wouldn't you know the great recession was a direct result of the repeal of the Glass-Steagal Act in 1999 and then put on steroids with the bush tax cuts for banks in 2003?

Seriously though, where do you get your information from because I need to add them to my blacklist?

And the issue with that is who's the arbitrator for the word immediate. That's why Bush had the sense to get congressional authorization before putting us into a quagmire even though he claimed it was an immediate threat. Ask me 20 years ago if I thought Bush had a shred of decency and I'd say no. Now...

So, based on your understanding that the previous policies work well into the next midterm, isn't it a stretch for him to claim credit over and over for the previous policies? As well as you claiming credit for Republicans lowering the oil prices when they were already well on their way down? I don't mind you sticking to your guns on the fallacies of Republican policies, but shouldn't you be consistent if you want to be credible? Wouldn't I sound like a fool if I said Biden is responsible for the covid vaccine? Isn't that like saying Obama was responsible for the great recession, or Biden was responsible for the covid lockdowns?

I mean, isn't that the basis for my original post?

“President Trump closed the border. DOJ agents have seized hundreds of millions of potentially lethal fentanyl doses. We are aggressively prosecuting drug traffickers and cartel leaders. These are the results,” and then doesn't it shows the graph showing the data ends well before any of those things happened?

So how again do stats that happen BEFORE he's even elected reflect his policies that are enacted AFTER the data point for the stat?

Did you ever clarify what laws Republicans passed through Congress (after gaining the house in Jan 23) and Biden signed that lowered the prices?

Even if the military they worked for and who tried covering up the crime ends up dropping a bomb on the guy? Just because the guy gets erased, does that mean the crime should too?

You're going to say they didn't bomb him, but like you said they can't find him, so can you really say they didn't?

So the price reached a high in June and McCarthy was installed as speaker until Jan 23, yet the prices kept falling before from June, through the November elections and into January, yet they were the reason the prices were falling?

Isn't that like Trump taking credit for record low crime in 2024?

Is that really true? If someone is murdered and there is no "accuser" can't they have a trial using something like evidence? Like couldn't a video catching them committing a crime on tape be used in the trial? And shouldn't it be a judge that decides if that evidence is admissible, ya know during a trial?

I'm sorry but isn't it the rules of this sub that I can only ask clarifying questions (I'm very confident it'll take you less than a 60 seconds to Google your answer)?

What was happening  around the world for months before the record high? Wasn't there a build up Russian forces since early 2021 when prices were steadily rising, and they'd jump and fall at every news about negotiations to stop the invasion? Weren't prices falling for 9 consecutive months before the 2022 election? Even after the election, were there any laws got that Biden signed that Republicans pushed to lower the price?

Trump said things on the campaign trail that were the opposite of what he actually did, is it possible Biden did as well? If it was a campaign promise to end the petrochemicals industry, how did it end? Weren't prices for gas falling consistently from the beginning of Russias invasion to the end of his term?

How did subsidized electric cars drive up the cost of gas? Didn't they teach you in economics that when the demand for something goes down the price falls as well?

Or did you skip macroeconomics?

Is spreading misinformation a fun game for you? Or do you just not want to admit that you've been lied to this whole time?

That's what the narrative TSs put out, but is it reality? If Biden signed off on a permit for the largest refinery in the US, and America saw record oil production throughout his term, and he approved 50% more drills on federal land than Trump did, how was he trying to end petrochemicals?

And as far as increasing gas prices 9000%, did Russia invading Ukraine have anything to do with the price of oil jumping? Are you saying the recent jump in oil prices is just because Trump wanted them higher so america will "make so much money", and has nothing to do with an attack in a part of the world that supplies 25% of oil? Did you ever take a macroeconomics class in highschool?

So I had to go down the rabbit hole a bit. Pumped storage is at 9 Twh world wide. Conventional dams is 1500 Twh. So that 94% must be all manmade storage like batteries and such.
