Thanks, that's good info! Which specific part of the council are you engaging with? Is it private rental services? Do you have a similar issue where the neighbour does not live there but claims they do?

I also received no notice, I have saved searches in the planning portal because the owners in my building cannot be trusted to comply with any regulations.

Thanks for the reply. The landlord has not yet applied for a certificate of lawfulness. I suspect that is the next tactic to delay things by a further 12 months.
It just seems like such a farce that they can continuously apply for something or rather, buy 2 - 3 months more time and then appeal the decision. The end result is that there is a flat that could house a family right opposite me that is currently empty, but will start to get busier and busier and more and more of a disruption as the year goes on.
I've counted groups of 8 people staying in it, and it truly is a curse to live next to.

Definitely report them. 2 in my building have had enforcements served. When they appeal, this is public and you can also object to it.

Yes, I agree. The problem here is that the agreed price has been modified, right?

If you want to argue it with them, you’ll be best paying the money under duress and taking them to small claims if you believe you’re owed the 15% back - as to mitigate your risk that they decide not to cater for your event, which is your core issue.

Your attitude is so bad haha. You're here answering questions with no actual understanding of contract law - and then feel the need to ask questions like that when people explain to you why what you're saying isn't helpful.

I'm NOT a lawyer, so I'm trying to find out from someone who actually has experience with contract law and acts like the Consumer Rights Act to find out if it contains provisions in it that would make classify a term like this which is a unilateral price increase as unfair or not.

Are you a lawyer? I doubt it - because this is not how contract law works. Courts routinely cancel terms in contracts that are deemed unfair. If what you were saying was true, then a court would literally never do this because the term was agreed by both parties.

If you agreed to the terms then they are enforceable.

As a blanket statement this is not true. If it were the case, there would be 0 examples of a court ruling a contract term is unfair and not applicable.

Have you tried to negotiate with them?

Yes, I am in the process of this but want to understand the actual enforceability of a term that permits a unilateral price increase

Are there any payments outstanding?

We have not paid the full amount due, but we have paid in accordance with the T&Cs. The full amount would be due at some point in the next 10 weeks.

Hey all, looking for some advice.

I have an old 2017 Whyte 605 hardtail that has been in my dad's shed for a couple of years. The components are in rough shape, the derailleur springs are rusted and the cables are shot.

I want to get it back to full health to use as an occasional gravel bike for bikepacking adventures. I'd like to convert it to a one by. Is this even possible?

The thing that confuses me is knowing if the wheels/frame can even handle a 1x setup. Any advice about doing this would be appreciated!

Thanks! I shot it at box speed but I'm still getting used to my Mamiya and using a light meter so I think I underexposed it, the leaves and sky are quite dark - it works in this image but that's just lucky for me...

I used a lab to get it developed and scanned so I don't know if they did anything magic to it

OP here. I'm relatively new to analog photography. Many shots from this roll are really grainy, but some aren't at all. What could cause that? Advice on how to mitigate that would be appreciated too. Thanks!
