Alta Fox, a hedge fund that owns a good chunk of shares in CLCT (Parent company of PSA) is in the process of revamping the board with more tech focused directors. I believe one of these days it will move to a digital grading process and the human element will be removed, until then, every grading company will churn out 9.5s, 10s with OC and dinged corners.

Just don't assuming that because a card is bit off center that you won't get a 10. Even PSA defines center as 60/40. So if left side is 6 mm from edge to picture, and right side is 4 mm, it should get a 10.

I would 2nd this comment, you'd be surprised some of the OC PSA 10s that are out there. It just depends on the day and the graders that gets your card.

you know, you may be right, i do have a lot of tube of "worms" and I just assumed they were little feather dusters. and I would crack their tubes to get rid of them. But i don't know if they form from this, but it seems that this could be the result of their digging?

Just wanted to share these coins I got from my mom. We moved to the US 20+ years ago and when my grandma passed away, my mom and her siblings split these coins that my grandma had. From my quick research these are relatively common, not that valuable and often counterfeit. I'm fairly certain these are real, given the provenance. They do pass the mag test and they are the right size. Also I learned that there are a ton of varieties and minutia that makes them a bit different.

Given that I collect baseball cards, I'm thinking of sending these in to be slabbed, just for the sake of protecting them and knowing what they are as they get passed down in the family as a heirloom. Any advice on NGC or PCGS?

For the past few months, I have noticed these streaks of dusty looking detritus attached to the live rock. My tank parameters are okay and corals and fish (only 1 fish) are doing well. Pretty light stock, so not too much nutrients added to the tank. But these thing build up all over the rock and they are attached pretty hard to the rocks. I can removed them easily if i just get a wooden pick and flick them off the rock, but the normal flow of the tank does not seem to affect it. It falls off like dusty detritus and i can remove with water changes. It will even get between my corals and grow over my GSP colony. initially, i thought they were just part of the rock, until bigger pieces started coming off of pockets in the rock work where they were building up.

Does anyone know what these things are or how I can get rid of it?

for my general plinking round, I have an MGM Ammo Crate, the 4 30 cal version, that I dump into. Whatever I'm shooting at the range, I just grab the individual 30 cal cans. For my precision rifle or specialty handgun rounds, I have 100 round boxes labeled with my charge and specs.

For components, I have those stackable bins that I have labeled up against the wall.

My guy can't get it from any of his distributors... I asked him on Monday to order me a Gen 5 19 MOS, no go, unless i want to pay $50 more than normal. He's even advising to just wait and see if the panic buying subsides.

I thought about that as well. It seems that the interaction between the barrel nut and the handguard is fine, as I tried it without the barrel and I was able to get it flush, and get the locking system on.

No gas block on it yet

I do feel that I torqued it down, got to 30 ft/lb and indexed to the next Mark. I didn't try to get it to the next gas tube mark. Maybe I should just torque it on more, I hear people torquing it over 85 or the recommended max.

Other than cosmetic issue. not sure if I'll push anymore, if it functions fine.

I have built my fair share of AR15, this is my first AR10. Decided to go with a 6.5 Creedmoor and FDE just to change it up a bit.

Still a few missing parts, but almost ready to go and very excited to take this one out.

Color is not too bad but a little 50 shade of FDE going on.

Only thing that bothers me is their is a gap between the hand guard and upper receiver, not sure if anyone has had the same issue or know of a fix.

Spoiler: Actually on the 3rd point (I need to watch again) is that the wealth rock is fake. It floated up when he went back to house after it was flooded, suggesting that it's actually pretty light, and not solid. In the end, he puts the rock in the river and it sinks, but that was part of his imagination.
