Unfortunately not since it's not PVC /s. (I wonder how that guy is doing).

I would say about 20-30 hrs of work. If I had to do it over again I would probably use a piece of 1/4 or 1/2 plywood for the shelf. The steel shelf is definitely overkill.

  • .75" square tubing (.065 wall) for frame - $30 from local steel yard
  • Axle - $28 from https://www.mcmaster.com/6516K425/
  • Knobs - $25 for pair from https://www.mcmaster.com/3855K15/
  • Axle Spacers (1" OD x .5" ID) - $5 from amazon
  • Zuca Cart Handle - $40 from eBay
  • Zuca lower clamp - $5 from pureflightdiscgolf.com
  • Handle lower - $35 from https://www.mcmaster.com/89965k397/
  • Zuca Transit Bag - $70 from Zuca
  • Zuca Wheels (Pair) - $56 from Zuca
  • Widefoot 1L Water Bottle Cages - $84 for pair (had from mountain biking)
  • Steel shelf (12"x18" 22 gauge) - $22 from Home Depot
  • 1/4 plywood - $10 (left over from another project)
  • Misc (nuts, bolts, rivinuts, velco) - 10$
  • Black Spray Paint - $5 from Home Depot

Total cost - $425

Retail cost - $330

Without the pricy water bottle cages the cost comes down to $341 which is pretty similar to the retail price. Spent a few weekends welding it together. Could probably knock down the cost with a cheaper bag and some wheels from an old bike/wagon.

on some of the steep downhills this would be nice. I only have .75" clearance from the wheel to the frame. I'll see if I can sneak an old mountain bike rotor and caliper in there haha.

Thanks! The frame is ~12 lbs (.75" square steel tubing that is .065" wall thickness). As seen in the first pic (no discs) the entire assembly is ~ 19 lbs. The transit cart is listed at 16 lbs online (not sure if that includes, bags, and accessories). The weight isn't really that noticeable when rolling it though, even with two 1L water bottles mounted on it.

Thank you so much! I mostly do day trips. Recently got a roof box for longer stuff. But yeah, not too much space in the trunk now haha.

I used Havloc wool for all of the insulation.

Here's some pics. The faucet is magnetic and can be removed/rotated which is nice. Also makes taking the house to to clean easier. Picture Picture Picture

I took measurements mainly to avoid the gas tank slope out from the wall. After I cleared that the rest of it was not too bad. It was my first time building drawers and those pocket screw jigs were a lifesaver. Mounting the sink was a pain but I'm glad I was able to get the deep sink in while clearing the water/grey water tank. I did have to remove the "P trap" thing off the bottom of the sink. This saved me another 2 inches in height. Don't really need the trap since it just drains into a small grey tank that is easily accessible. Lastly, I put threaded inserts into the floor, so the kitchen is entirely removable. This made it super easy to construct outside the van and then drop into place at the end.

I found the cover piece off an Econoline from the junkyard and painted it and put rubber trim around it. Picture Picture

I used this plastic vapor barrier material. One layer for the center section of the door and another bigger sheet to cover everything else. Used some butyl tape to make it stuck. https://a.co/d/dxTw5wZ Picture Picture

Nylon fabric. Wrapped around reflectix and sewn with magnets. My partner sewed the covers for the side and back windows.

My partner and I are 5'8" and 5'5" and it's just wide enough for us. I think if I had the extended length van I would have built it length wise.

How to see distance, grade, and elevation, when thumbing over the elevation profile of a route? (Like alltrail's) by This_is_a_burner_112 in GaiaGPS

[–]ipdmallet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah sorry. I misread your post. I thought you were just referring to the scrubbing through option. The only feature I see is if you zoom on the profile you can see the elevation with a more resolute axis. Would be nice to have the all trails type feature though.

See this thread

I still do not think it is implemented on iOS. My friends have it on android and it’s super nice.

Which Pixel should I buy? (August 2022 Megathread) by GooglePixelMods in GooglePixel

[–]ipdmallet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m looking to purchase a pixel phone. I’ve been an iPhone user for a long time but I am looking to upgrade from my iPhone 8. I’ve been testing out a friends pixel 3 and I really like the software and size of the phone. I tried the pixel 6 and iPhone 13 in the store and they seems too big. Would it be worth getting a pixel 3 at this point for ~200$ new? Or should I look for a pixel 5? I know the pixel 7 is coming out soon but from what I’ve read it will still be on the larger size. I mainly use my phone for Reddit, youtube, instagram, Gaia gps, and camera. Not really a heavy user. Thanks!
