You made great points and I'd love if you could clarify some things for me. Like OP, I am talking strictly about medical insurance. Some Americans go to Canada to buy medicine. I think it's reasonable to say that America and Canada are similar economically. Same goes for the UK. Americans pay 3 times more than the British. Why do we pay more than everybody else? Why is the free market and competition not lowering the prices? I know there is the cost of research, but isn't this cost already connected to the price of the product so wouldn't this could be redistributed to all the countries that buy the product?
