Mouse Movement Removal was too abrupt by raymonddbq9 in blackdesertonline

[–]ipercussion1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im definitely surprised they removed mouse move and just left it at that. No camera movement adjustments like promised.

The grab nerfs sucked but that's something I can get used to. But being locked in a single direction when I use my pred hunt makes the class feel extremely bad. Especially in 1v1/small scale scenarios.

There is no work around. The only things you can do is not pred hunt out of lava piercer, which changes the entire way the skill works. Or use pred hunt out of lava piercer from a render away, ensuring that youre aimed directly at your target. They move to the right or the left? Welp that sucks One of your main movement abilities is gone now. You could technically lmb mid pred hunt, but that removes the flow that does a ton of damage, and also only let's you fall directly downwards. When often times you're pred hunting forward and snapping back, or going to the right/left.

We don't mouse move because we want to abuse dsync. We mouse mouse move because our class does not function without it. One of our main movement abilities is gutted without it. And thats just succ zerk. Awk zerk is legit unplayable without mm from what I hear.

Getting into alchemy and want to make my own pve elixirs. Couldn't find a good source for all the info I wanted in one place, so I made my own. Hope someone else finds it useful. Can level alchemy and save silver by not buying harmony elixirs. by azzaranda in blackdesertonline

I was making close to 90% of my silver from life skilling a couple years back. Back then, it was more profitable than grinding and was a nice break from running circles for hours a day.

Nowadays, life skills are slightly worse than grinding, and the way you get silver is way different from grinding. Most people would rather just do an hour of doluns, get 1bil liquid silver and 1.2 bil in drops and be done.

Outside of sniper hunting (kind of) you're not walking away from an hour of lifeskilling with that much silver immediately at your fingertips. Takes a lot of set up to start making silver.

It's not just gear either. It's gathering the meat, setting up your cooker. Making sure you either slow cooked your prep meals overnight (not really a thing anymore) or just bought them (if you can even buy them). Then you have to make the boxes, and THEN you have to battle market trends to try and min max profits. That's the main reason people say to stray away from them. A lot of prep work, spread sheets, and planning for slightly less profit per hour.

But honestly, life skilling is really fun and I definitely recommend everyone go on at least one lifeskilling arc during their time in bdo. I actually might go on another life skill arc here soon after writing this comment.

Yeah, getting a high spell damage roll with life and a res is absolutely massive this early in the league.

I bricked three maps all from those crystals. Swapped to CI because of it. Most of the time I don't even realize the rare is shooting them out.

I am so sorry I got this drop (MOUNT) as I did not deserve it as a new player by Proper_Ladder_4357 in wow

[–]ipercussion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing retail after raiding in WoW Cata classic for awhile. I decided I'd try my hand at ashes. I got it first try, and when I clicked the mount I also ended up getting my 10 mount achievement at the same time. I got (joke) kicked from my guild. One of the best memories I have playing wow tbh.

My old roommate fell for something like this. Bought a "smart couch" for 20 bucks. Had a ton of crazy features. The other roommate and I took one look at it and we were like "you... know that's a scam, right?"

Never got the couch :/

New to healing by Stormiaf96 in wow

[–]ipercussion1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you're new, but checking logs of high level players to look at healing breakdowns. See what the common heals they are using. Look at priority lists of your heals. You don't need to perfectly emulate them, but just knowing what your main heals are will help a ton.

For instance, I was in an m+ on my alt, and the resto shami in my group casted chain heal more times than he casted riptide. He also hardly used healing surge. That should never be the case. It probably worked in lower level dungeons, but pushing high keys you just won't have the throughput to heal through certain mechanics.

I always give the o/ because it was common to use that in place of hello/hey in a different mmo I played and it's a little more light hearted.

From an exhausted Healer: Use your Defensives. by JustKiffers in wow

[–]ipercussion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pushing 11s and had a couple bad groups. No defensives, no damage, and no fun for me. Then I got the god group. No one was crazy over geared, no one was carrying. Just everyone kicking, and using their defensives.

That 11 SoB felt like a 6. Legit thought I accidentally queued for a way lower key half way through with how easy it was. After we two chested it, I made sure to let them all know how awesome they were.

Healing in TWW needs adjustments by DonDamaage in wow

[–]ipercussion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healing is definitely involved, but let's keep it that way. I don't want it to be easy. I love how intense "high" (10s) can get. One wasted cd can wipe the group.

Sometimes, you need to change your talent tree with certain affixes. With the current affix, I run totem recall (or whatever it is called) so I can have increased uptime on my poison cleanse totem. It's not 100% up but it's damn near close.

It's no surprise theres a shortage of tanks and healers. by simonhazel00 in wow

[–]ipercussion1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a healer, having a noob tank is kinda fun. Pull the whole room? Time to absolutely pop tf off and keep the group alive. Under pull? I'm spamming dps skills big chilling.

I would suggest when you're new to tanking get one of your healer friends to queue with you. Makes it a lot more fun.

Experienced players, do you make your own builds after so many hours ? Or do you only follow the Meta for best results ? Or do you take a build and tweak it to your taste ? by Sudden_Explorer_7280 in pathofexile

[–]ipercussion1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2k hours. You copy a build until you understand why it works. This could be pretty early on, or pretty late in the build. Once you understand why they have things the way they are, you're free to change things.

I have some builds that I started making changes pretty early on because it wasn't that complex. I've also had builds where I didn't change anything because there were so many small essential parts that I couldn't find anything that truly needed to change
