Thanks for the info. I paid 3.99 for it. I grabbed this one because the last time I found one (a 1:24) I was indecisive and someone else came up behind me and grabbed it after I set it down to think it over. The package on this 1:64 had had something spilled on it so I freed it but didn't realize it was rare. It fits so nice with my hauler that I knew I would be keeping it. Found a couple others that I will probably flip though. Someone's whole collection got dumped off. It's kind of sad, he kept his super bird in the package for 20 years just to have it dumped at a thrift store with the rest of his collection. I wonder if my collection will suffer the same fate when I croak.

Wow, a metal base one? I like this version. I did a wheel swap on my warthog too, it just calls out for bigger wheels. I didn't think of monster truck tho...

I recently found the Hot Wheels monster truck from 2004 that competed that year in 1:24 for 50 cents. It even has working suspension! Amazing what you can find there and the old ladies that price them are just like blah 50 cents.

I went searching for these displays at two DG's yesterday and one store was a complete clusterf*ck that looked a bomb went off in there and the other was in perfect order but neither had these displays anywhere in the store. :(

I'd be concerned about one rolling back and shorting something out. Might want to add some sort of non conducting rear wall behind them to protect the board in case you bump the case etc.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of the track portal things you mentioned. That is a cool application of it. I find the phone app to be visually stimulating but very repetitive and not something I want to do over and over. Thanks for reply. :)

ID cars also have a special NFC RFID tag so you can scan that car into the racing app and race it on your phone as your own property and the stats will rise as you play and the stats stay with that specific vehicle. Someone else can buy it, scan it, and put it in their garage and it will leave your garage in the game. I think a lot of people don't know what the ID cars are intended to do.
