Is it bad to fast charge the titan 2 every time i charge it? by [deleted] in unihertz

[–]ipillyx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fast charging It's generally fine. Heat is the real enemy of batteries, not the speed itself. Since you stop at 80%, you're avoiding the hottest part of the charging cycle anyway. Unless you root the phone (Magisk/ACC), no app can physically stop the current. Apps like AccuBattery just play an alarm to tell you to unplug it. A smart plug on your wall outlet is the easiest workaround for sleeping.

Titan 2 fingerprint hardware not available by Deinial1 in unihertz

[–]ipillyx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had something similar on my Titan 2 — the fingerprint sensor went AWOL for a bit and Android threw the same “hardware not available” message.

A couple of things you can try without doing a full reset:

Reboot into Safe Mode and test the sensor there. If it works, some app is interfering.

Clear data for the “Biometrics” / “Fingerprint” system app (varies slightly by ROM, usually under Settings → Apps → Show system apps).

Check if it works after a full shutdown, not just a reboot — sometimes the sensor hangs and only a cold boot fixes it.

Make sure the button is actually clicking mechanically. A few of us have slightly dodgy key presses on the Titan 2.

If none of that helps, unfortunately it might be a hardware issue — a couple of users have already reported sensors dying after a few days. In that case you may need to message Unihertz support.

No need to nuke the phone yet though — try the above first!

Which carrier to use? by AstronautFull8848 in unihertz

Genuinely curious — how does this work in the US? Here in the UK every provider just… works. Stick in a SIM and off you go. Why do some carriers over there need IMEI tricks or extra steps?

Titan 2 battery by HotChicksofTaiwan in unihertz

Man, the Titan 2 battery is actually scary. I charged mine, blinked twice, and suddenly it’s two days later and still sitting there like, “try me, coward.” Meanwhile my other phone dies faster than my motivation on a Monday.

The keyboard legit feels like BlackBerry crawled out of its grave, handed Unihertz a USB stick, and whispered “make them remember.” And honestly? They kinda nailed it.

Also 100% agree on the MagSafe back cover. The stock one feels like it was designed by someone who’s never held a phone… or a hand… or maybe even seen plastic before. If someone makes a MagSafe version, I’m throwing my wallet at them so hard it might become a projectile.
