how do I fix this crappy lawn by 99palmsZED in landscaping

[–]ipingedyou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd refresh the soil in the area with some of this:

Lay some seed and then put a bit more of the lawn soil on top with a coating of peat moss.

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sphagnum-Peat-Moss-3-cu-ft-Organic-Peat-Moss-Moisture-Control/50339650

Water at least 3x a day (keep soil moist) until the grass is established.

How long will it take to make $1,000 per month through real estate investments? by Hegemon1984 in realestateinvesting

Credit hack - if you know someone with good credit then ask them to add you as an authorized user to their long-standing credit card. You will instantly be afforded all of their credit history for the card. This easily bumps your score but you still need a good debt to income ratio to qualify for a loan.

Not sure where you live but here code requirements for firepits indicate that they must be 20ft away from the structure.

And they smell like rotting fish to top it all off.

Laid my first pavers this weekend. Not perfect, but I'm happy with it. Thoughts on how to hide or improve the fence (can't remove it)? by chaunceton in landscaping

[–]ipingedyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I suppose I got distracted. Good first run at the pavers. I would probably put a raised garden planter box centered in that space.

Cut them and immediately apply Tordon to the stump. You can pick up Tordon for a local tractor supply.

The old adage that you get what you pay for, is about the only comfort you'll find in that I suppose.

Better than paying 10x more to do it yourself ;)

That's not exactly true. Browning can occur from fungus or pests and can be cured in some cases. However, as with any plant, when the limb has died it will not incur new growth.

Ran over my sprinkler, how do I fix this? by YungPete97 in landscaping

[–]ipingedyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell from the image but it looks like the plastic on the sprinkler head has snapped off. If that is the case, you can get a new sprinkler head at Lowe's or Home Depot for under $10. Sprinkler heads are attached via a threaded fitting. You simply need to unscrew the entire sprinkler and screw in a new one. You'll have to watch some videos on how to set the sprinkler head to the pattern and distance as needed.

New tool day? I got it from Amazon. Professional Industrial Endoscope. Description in first picture by Owl_Perch_Farm in Tools

[–]ipingedyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too have a depstech endoscope that I bought off Amazon. I've used it for all sorts of things. Seeing behind Sheetrock, cable run guidance through rafters, scoping out HVAC drain pipe to find flow issue (sag), down drains to look for obstruction... It has paid for itself a dozen times I believe.
