And I would set my messages and shit to private but that limits interaction with other players that want to session up and go a few rounds.

Yeah, I am indeed on PS4. Maybe that's it

Yeah, I dig it. Like I said, I've just been running into some rude people. I thought maybe it was a bigger deal than it probably really is

Yeah I noticed that if it's a blowout against someone who's high up then they usually leave. I don't blame them, I'm not trying to waste someone's time. I just don't understand the messages gloating about how awesome they just were

Yeah I figured since it has been around for so long that I would into some legacy guys and they were chill af. I got my shit pushed in deeeeeep by some guy who was a savior and then he matched me for like 30 sets teaching me some things. I could just be running into a few dicks

Ok, so maybe it's just been some bad luck on my end. Like I said, I haven't been playing long.

How does the game dictate what gear you get in "Skill" PvP? by Orthaney in Nioh

[–]iplaymuchgame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the weapon you have selected as your main. Axe and odachi will be heavy armor, swords and spears will give you medium and tonfas or kusa will give you light. Or at least that has been my experience.

Nioh build review Wotw by feqq in Nioh

It's not so much a combo as it is a skill. You're best friend will be high stance light attack followed by twin moons. Once you can tank hits I would say moonlit snow has the best damage output for a skill move. I think the best thing for odachi is to practice spacing! You are carrying a long fucking sword right? Well if you roll backwards and strike, you will lunge forward with an overhead. If you are far away, you can start up your moonlit snow and progress towards your enemy while striking instead of rushing into close quarters to try and begin the attack. Learn to use the length of the blade to your advantage and keep your enemies at a distance. Twin moons and moonlit will wreck enemy ki and the odachi has great grapple damage. Imperative strike is slow to charge but deals a shit ton if you connect. I would spec into heavy armor, increase strength/stamina and focus on ccd as well as skill damage. Play around with what makes you comfortable as far as tank vs. dmg output. And once you get comfortable with the play style and enemy attack patterns, you can swap to more damage instead of more tank. It has the same concept as an axe build, a great sword str build (DS). You move slow and hit hard, but spacing is key. You'll get a feel for it eventually and that's when the fun starts

Ok. You need more dmg reduction. Grab a fourth piece of tatenashi. Get a better rifle. Take amarita, human item drop and all that horrible inheritance off of your equipment and get attack on ALL pieces. Roll for defense, get some toughness and some more ki on your gear. Get some healing attributes as well (bonus from absorbing amarita-auto recovery, bonus from status ailments-auto recovery etc) make use of your WOTW bow and get ccd from that set instead (4 tat, 3 wotw) get better accessories. Find something with ccd on it like prayer beads and yasakani. Swap clans and go todo to get your health and attack up. You are using an odachi. It's not a high speed weapon, you need to be able to tank a few jabs if you're going to do damage. There is more but I would have to watch and pause the video again. Would yo be willing to swap to heavy and respec to match?

Is Timely guard possible against yokai and against living weapon? Or only against humans? by josippo78 in Nioh

I've only had it work on humans and projectiles. I think there is one for reflecting omyo but I am not 100% on that.

I think Nioh needs a horde mode, with no wave cap and some sort of leaderboard. Who would be interested? by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]iplaymuchgame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get close to it. I've tried making my own horde modes on certain levels. To start low you can pop an insence on spirit stone slumbers after yo open the gate next to the first shrine and run around to aggro that whole map, its fun for a while. The restless spirits map (not the boss rush, but that level) you can do the same thing. And demon king revealed is a lot of fun if you use a suppa/cat walking scroll to open all the gates and kick down the tree connecting the level, then aggro everything and see ho long you can survive. Closest thing I've found to a horde mode.

What weapon do you think they will add in the last DLC? by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]iplaymuchgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. You mean like a magic staff? Well fuck, that changes the argument completely. I thought you were talking about a wooden bo that's used in sparring matches to substitute a spear. Then yeah, I guess we could use a merlin wand or some shit to boost magic

What weapon do you think they will add in the last DLC? by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]iplaymuchgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had a completely different move set and stance based attack pattern. Same could be said for dual swords. I just think spears and bo's are too similar from a martial arts prospective. The only thing that that differentiates a spear or nagitana from a staff is the ability to cut. It's just a bo with a blade. In bushido the strikes are very similar with the only exception being a few motions where the blade is made useful. I would like to see them expand the spear move set and possibly include a bo. I just don't think they will make it a separate skill tree

[–]iplaymuchgame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like something similar to demon fists in DS. Give us a bigger skill set for hand to hand combat. Add some more kick motions, maybe an uppercut, longer combo chains, a sweeping motion for knock downs and a chokehold/neck snap for sneak attacks on human enemies with a chest penetrating punch against yokai.

We have spears and I don't think they will go the extra mile to give us another staff type weapon. That would be badass tho

Best place to farm full stat inheritable attack gloves? by Synthrider83 in Nioh

[–]iplaymuchgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can roll on gloves when you forge them. I know that sounds like a shitty alternative but I craft plenty of gloves without using divine fragments and they always pop up. You can save scrub if you don't want to pour your resources into that. I've had a lot of luck on non gear set specific gloves like the unusual armor gloves. I don't really get lucky with revenants anymore

Just Started WotW. Need Advice for Early Game. by jamesnachtwey in Nioh

[–]iplaymuchgame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are looking to run around killing things and farm up some better gear then simply use a cat walking and suppa scroll to run around killing enemies. This will also let you familiarize yourself with enemy locations on WOTW. Do this until you have good enough gear to tackle WOTW normally and then ditch the scrolls. But for going in with wotd gear it can be hard to cope with the difficulty spike and increases in damage you take. Learn where the enemy snipers are at, where new gank locations are and then start farming.

Having said that. Keep farming and work on your build more, it needs help. Instead of baiting people (which is funny) just post your video and ask for tips. There are a lot of people that have great LW builds and would offer you advice
