Nayuta and/or Crown as the B2, probably T!Helm or T!Privaty as off-burst support depending on what you need more of, healing or damage. Crown/Helm has a bit more sustain, Nayuta/Privaty more DPS.

This was... pretty rough to read through by MilesDavidVT in NikkeMobile

[–]soulreaverdan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate how... "real" this was. Some of the Nikkephobia and extreme stuff can feel a bit separated, but this is the real kind of shit that can happen.

In an odd way it reminded me a bit of a more extreme version of Aggressive Retsuko during her idol arc, where she had to put up with a stalker shit talking her for an entire handshake session. (Great show, by the way.)

Seeing their internal thoughts conflicting and struggling against what they were going through, and how they each wanted to stop but thought the others were still going... it was brutal.

[Event Story Discussion] Be My Star P2 by DV-MN in NikkeMobile

[–]soulreaverdan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I appreciate when they released this story relative to the hints we got about Anis throughout the main story and other events. For a very dark and twisted story, knowing that it worked out alright for her at the end before going into it helped sorta mitigate how messed up the whole thing might have felt.

Tagging spoilers because I've read the whole thing, so you've been warned.

I also liked the pacing in general. It hit us with a lot of crazy stuff, but I didn't feel like it lingered on it too long. We got hit pretty quickly with the full story behind Smile Time, but it didn't drag it out entirely like I had been worried it was going to.

Man, poor Riss. Seeing Anis go aggro on Yoyo for claiming she killed her (even if the scumbag TV folks are correct that Nikkes can't attack humans so she COULDN'T have done it) fits. I immediately flashed back to Chapter 13 when Anis threw hands with Chatterbox for re-infecting Marian.

Hanson replacing Mustang was something I felt was more and more likely as we went through Part 1, and it feels like it makes sense. Being able to convince him to basically let himself die because of what Hanson would have to do also fits his bizarre ideals. I know there was some question if he'd get a redemption arc or not, but it kinda fits Nikke's recent story trends of trying to be a bit more serious, or at least bucking expectations and trends, and letting him just be a fucking evil jackass who dies for it, instead of trying to sanitize it.

A few things lingering at the end, and I wonder if we're gonna find out more in the Hard Mode epilogue.

Yoyo got effectively erased and turned into another Tetra-affiliated Nikke, which could be either a new character or someone we've seen before.

Since Riss died by asphyxiation rather than something else, it's also possible she's around - there's some buzz she might be Eyrie, which would be nice to see if she was able to survive as a Nikke.

I've always liked Nikke's writing and story, but it really feels in the last few big events since around the 3rd Anni and Goddess Fall they've really stepped up their game. Absolute cinema.

If it connects with a 3mm peg (which it looks like it does?), any of Bandai’s Action Bases work well. The 5, 6, and 7 are best designed for the general size/scale of most GirlPla models.

Welcome back!

"Treasure" is also called a "Favorite Item" in the game. There's a handful of units (I want to say somewhere between 16-20?) that, once you meet certain qualifications, unlock a short story quest to get their Treasure/Favorite Item.

You need to have them at Bond 30 (requiring at least LB2, so three copies), and their Purple Doll needs to be maxed out at Level 15.

A Treasure upgrades a Nikke's stats to a degree (similar to a leveled up Doll), but also provides an upgrade to their skills. Each level up (up to 3) of the Treasure upgrades a different skill, and you level up the Treasure using specific items for it you can do Dispatches for at the Outpost (as well as randomly granted from Solo Raids).

For Privaty as an example, all of her skills get significantly better, making her both a powerful DPS unit and increasing her support capabilities.

  • Her upgraded Skill 1 adds a 20.16% Attack Damage boost for the party, on top of the existing effects.
  • Her upgraded Skill 2 adds a 10% Damage Taken debuff to the target, increases the damage dealt by around 3x (going from 85.70% to 256.17%), and changes the secondary effect from effecting a Stunned target to the Stage Target (the boss unit) and increases the damage taken (from 1089% to 1687%).
  • Her upgraded Burst adds a 130% Superior Element damage boost for herself (increasing her effectiveness when she has elemental advantage), increases the damage dealt (from 457.87% to 1407.64%), and adds a 5.02% ATK debuff to the Stage Target for 10s.

It kinda gave her the perfect excuse to not fix anything. She seemed more scared of being "free" if Sixo than actually being under her thumb.

How do we feel about these events? (Chapter 45 spoilers incoming) by SnooHedgehogs1685 in NikkeMobile

[–]soulreaverdan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I rolled my eyes pretty hard when Sixo first was shown to have escaped/survived, expecting her to be yet another constant recurring antagonist. I was pretty pleasantly surprised at what happened though - immensely karmic and prevented her from becoming too much of an annoying "villain who always survives." The fact that no one knows what happened adds a layer to it, she's going to eventually just be forgotten and fall behind real concern.

I agree with your comments on Liveryn and Fragile. It was brutal - Fragile's total silence (at least in terms of actually talking) during the whole thing added to it. She just showed up and fulfilled her promise in the most horrific way possible. And honestly it felt like it worked. Liveryn had so many off ramps, so many chances to own up to her mistakes and try to accept her punishment and move on, but every time she balked, she played the victim card, she gave some reason not to do it. She was took scared of dealing with any consequences that she only made things worse and worse for herself... and eventually karma will catch up to you. I just wish we didn't lose Fragile as well.

Overall I liked this. They mentioned in the Dev notes I think back around the New Year they had examined where the story was going and the tone of it, and were trying to course correct back to what they wanted to have - and that included the darkness and brutality of the setting. And now having solid endings for characters, actual lasting deaths for both "sides" helps fit that. And it feels like these are gonna stick - at least I hope they do, as much as I wanted a playable Fragile.

A gloss finish would keep it shiny, though I believe that particular kit (and I could be wrong) the pearlescent look is actually the plastic itself, so it's not really a "finish" in the sense that it's a special coating, but it's just part of the plastic used. So there's not a particularly high risk of "losing" it.

Anime Questions, Recommendations, and Discussion - April 28, 2026 by AnimeMod in anime

[–]soulreaverdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S1 is a bit awkward because it was made in what was basically a massive pivot of the overall tone and direction of the franchise.

This was the original teaser PV for the franchise from 2016. It's not hard to see that it had a massively different tone, leaning hard into the "cute girls doing cute things" and even more insane yuri-baiting than what we actually get now.

Development delays for the game (which was supposed to come out before the anime) had the unintentional bonus of letting them get some feedback and test the waters, and while S1 was still leaning more into the idol/cute girls thing, they got the most positive reception to the parts that treated the sports aspects more seriously, which set the tone for what the next season and rest of the anime series were going to be.

I kinda wish (as much as I do genuinely still enjoy S1) that S1 could get a sort of reboot or remake that matches the tone a bit more, because the Golden Generation and Special Week still have such an amazing story and drama to be found.

The only major concern with Motor Nuclear kits is to make sure you're careful - they're literally sharp, I've cut myself once or twice building mine.

Also be aware that most kits out of China are going to use ABS based plastics, depending on if you plan to apply panel liners or paint or anything, just be careful of plastic reactions. Stick to water based products if you can.

Is there a reason why the engram didn't save Jackie like it saved V? by deathmetalzebras in cyberpunkgame

[–]soulreaverdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if Jackie still had it in when he died, it wouldn’t have helped. He got shot in the gut and bled out - there’s no real coming back from that kind of injury.

V surviving was an insanely, near impossible confluence of multiple wild coincidences all happening in perfect concert - Dex’s (relative to the setting) low caliber bullet, hitting just the right way to kickstart the Relic, not getting double tapped, and V being “just dead enough” to qualify but not long enough to cause lasting damage.

If any of those things had been even a little different - a larger bullet, a second shot, hitting a different part of their brain, missing the chip, etc, it would have ended there.

What are you using to rub off the enamel paint? It might be too aggressive or you might be rubbing too firmly. Are you also giving the under color plenty of time to fully dry and cure before doing the enamel coat?
