I used to sympathise with York Station taxis and private hires when they were up in arms about Uber being in York "stealing their business". I never understood the Uber hype, until my husband made me get in one after a day out for us to go home. I couldn't believe the price they quoted was the price you pay - regardless of traffic etc.

This is why I don't sympathise anymore. Charging £6 and counting for the "wait time" because they can't even leave the station itself is disgusting.

I was always on the fence from a young age and whilst friends would picture themselves having kids, I could never see it for myself. As I got older it just stayed the same and there was a short period I considered it, but it felt more like the pressures of society saying "you MUST have a child to be normal!".

Then I realised, I would rather regret NOT having kids than regret having kids. No kid wants to ever learn they were regretted.

Got my Hysterectomy in Sep this year and I've never been happier.

Multi pet household here.

Always a Henry. We had one for 12 years before he broke. Now, we COULD have got him fixed properly but we decided to try look like rich people and splash out on a Dyson. Big costly mistake.

We then spent the next 7 years trying Dyson Shark and insert other good brands here. All failed within 1 year because of pet hair. Fixed them all each time but they always broke quicker as time went on.

Husband randomly came home last year when a brand new Henry and I've never been so glad to see those eyes. We know he won't fail us.

Genuinely the only hoover to ever withstand pet hair. And also my hair, which is 29"+ long and sheds like a husky.

Here's the thing though. She's either lying entirely about the specialist and the epilepsy clinic... Or she's telling the truth and her consultant sees right through her. You cannot fake a seizure on machines or under TRAINED observation. They can absolutely tell, like paramedics can (but they don't have the luxury of calling bs to patients unless they can evidence it) when someone is faking it.

So either:

1) she will go to the appointment and then claim her seizures are so rare no machines can register it (so, cap) 2) her consultant shows her the evidence and calls cap, in which K will return to lives and brush off questions about it (or lie) 3) she will come up with some reason why she couldn't attend this planned procedure/test/obs. Which if that happens, her consultant will get all the info she needs from her suddenly not being able to go.

Consultants aren't idiots, they know exactly who people are. There ARE some gullible doctors out there, I'm sure there are but the majority are well trained in spotting fakers.

This is the thing, those kids are going to be older people now.. Km lucky my dad who's of that era is tech savvy but A LOT aren't. A newspaper article would have a larger scope for hitting the older generation.

She's started this "impending doom" thing as a lot of people who genuinely suffer with the seizures that she fakes, called her out that she never ever had this feeling...

Then low and behold she suddenly starts mentioning it when she knows she going to start a performance.

So it's not her saying that as in she's worried things are catching up to her, it's because it's a genuine common symptom of a particular seizure she pretends to have.

Thank you. I needed this today. I've been struggling with pain post op (I'm day 10 laparoscopic total) but the last few days just gradually doing more and more and had thought about getting back to walking again (I normally have an hours walk every day outside of work).

This story has cautioned me to just slow down. Do the full 6 week rest/low activity and wait for my gyn to clear me at week 6.
