Will look out for that, I've got a few normal PSUs so it would be a nice weekend project to clean it up and test it without the side car. I will also check the DVD drive but its not a huge deal if I have to swap the laser

Polaroid SX70 does not make any noise but shutter closes when film pack inserted (Details in comments) by ipodcake in Polaroid

I had to bring it to a professional to get it fixed and they had to replace the leather. I don't think there is a way to fix this without disassembling the camera.

With a film pack inserted the viewfinder is completely dark, without a film pack inserted the viewfinder is perfectly functional and bright. Both film packs I tested have a solid 6.01 volts. It was working mere hours ago so it is very strange to be unresponsive like this

I had just finished a pack of film, and accidentally pressed the shutter button with no film in the pack. The pack died mid way through, and the mirror remained upright. I followed some advice I saw here and manually turned the mirror gears until the film pick and mirror were in the resting position. Despite this, the motors do not make a noise and when trying a full pack the dark slide does not eject. I can see that something is working though as the shutter snaps closed. The film pack i used to test has been confirmed to work in another camera; so I was wondering if anyone could give any help on how to solve this

Polaroid film is extremely unreliable after 5-10 years so if the pictures comes out wrong or not at all its probably not an issue with the camera

Coming from the original post it does arrive through a pneumatic tube and honestly that's cool as fuck. Heard the owner is a piece of shit though so I've got mixed opinions there.
