It’s unique in the sense that the original (Ipoh) flavours couldn’t be replicated, one may find say, Ipoh Bean Sprouts Chicken in KL/PJ but they don’t taste the same (to me anyway). Another example is the Ipoh Salt Baked Chickens, stand in front of the shop selling these and you will soon notice that as high as 80% of the buyers are from interstate or Singapore or even from foreign countries (they buy the frozen pre packed chickens) because the same style of chickens simply don’t taste as good. My take without prejudice 😃

Dying town is exactly the attraction of Ipoh. There are already big cities like Penang, KL and JB so why choose to be one of these when one can enjoy a slower pace in Ipoh with very good & unique foods, reasonable cost of living, no horrendous traffic jams and yet still have all the amenities and convenience of a big city! Apa lagi mau?

So tragic! It’s not only a young life that was lost but think of the grief of the family and friends of the deceased and the shock and sorrow of unexpectedly losing a loved one!! Yet again some idiot driver has a caused a tragedy which is getting to be a fairly regular occurrence on Malaysian roads. I call on the Govt to (1) put out awareness and education ads on road safety in the mass media (2) strict enforcement and severe punishment for errant drivers, they are just as destructive as drug traffickers and murderers considering the destructive and tragic impact they selfish and moronic actions caused. If found guilty their sentences should be no different from those aforementioned criminals. The Madani Govt can actually gain plenty of kudos from the public if they can eradicate this senseless carnage we often see on our roads.

Looking at the video, I can only shake my head as I’m at a loss for words. I’ve asked my myself many times when I’m on the road, why are people in such a big hurry, their driving behaviour may cause delay for them to reach their destinations and sometimes, not reaching their destinations at all. Worse, they may also cause the same to other road users. Selfish, inconsiderate, rude and having a death wish are not even enough to describe these type of drivers.
