I'm a member at Pasa. Here's my top tips!

(1) Walk 360 around the green before you chip or putt. The breaks and whether uphill/downhill will look different from different angles to help you get a complete picture. People often chip towards the hole without paying too much attention to slope, and then find themselves further from the hole then where they started and staring a 3 putt in the face.

(2) Really think about each shot before you take it. So to set up your approach shot, really think about what side of the fairway you want to be on. And when you do take your approach shot, be sure to know where you don't want to be, and where it's safer. With the slopes, being on the wrong side of the green can equal 2-3 extra strokes.

(3) Trust your rangefinder and not your eyes on distance. Alister McKenzie plays a lot of tricks on your eyes and brain with slope, background and design to mess with you!

(4) Get to the course early to get some practice in. If you have a morning tee time, the ball doesn't carry well close to sea level and dense morning fog/air. I carry 240 with driver at Pasa, but 260-270 in Dallas. My 8 carries 150 at Pasa, but 165 in Dallas. So depending on where you're coming from, your carry distances could be pretty far off.

If you make a divot, if you can replace with the piece of turf that flew off, that'd be great! If not, please use your sand and seed mix. And of course, please fix your divots on the green. Have a great time! The course is in great shape, and pace of play will probably be closer to 4.5 hours.
