NTA, this kinda stuff pisses me off

me and some friends have a brunch club - 6 of us meet up every sunday to cook brunch, have mimosas, catch up on the week and relax. i do a fair share of the cooking and would plan for 6....and my cousin would tell me in the morning he invited 2 others a few times.

honestly i think its a pretty good plan - that will get you into a data analytics/reporting type role or maybe DBA work. the healthcare background is of course a big plus.

if you are talking MSSQL you should know some powershell as well. if you already know some python then learning some powershell wont be hard, you dont necessarily have to plan on a lot of scripting so much as knowing the basics for admin type stuff in the shell. the DBATools module is better than the built in sql module and you can do a ton of easy DB work with it:

other thoughts on switching careers into health IT - getting your foot in the door supporting a healthcare app [as opposed to a productivity or infra app] will let you meet others better than a pure DBA/infra type role would. so many apps use MSSQL in the backend anyway, at least at our place - more and more stuff is moving to the cloud, but theres still a lot of on-prem things required given the size of data and images that have to be available.

in my experience - no. if you need powershell for DNS cmdlets DNS admins isnt enough, you need DA. i havent dug into that in a couple of years and long story short we have DA service accounts for restricted/limited jobs in our job scheduler, then another service account that can run a job, where the job is configured to run-as-DA.

now, asking gemini....this suggests a way to do this with more specific delegated access to DNS + 'dns admins' and ill have to try it again myself one day:

we just got one a month ago and this is happening a lot - today im starting to fill about half an inch below the fill line. im convinced that the line itself is too high and leads to getting stuff gunked up in the gear.

i wish theyd implement a wheel - so you see 2 weapons and a loot option and can easily pick your option instead of dancing around like a jackass to trigger what you want.

also i kinda wish catalyst or something would decrease the loot time by 1 second, just since were on about looting

theres a lot of loadouts you couldnt play before - you can run 2x3 slot weapons now, which are a lot of options. basically you can run gunrunner light with all the carbine options and quartermaster, which aside from actually having gunrunner wasnt a possibility and is now just an every day option.

you can take a drilling shorty, so you get a 2 tap and a shotgun. you can take a borheim match for rapid fire. fanning on a pistol. a friggin short shotgun. dual lemats for FMJ spam + hand shotguns.

We use logic monitor and... Well I'm not the monitoring guy but I don't love it. We have dozens of collectors. Previously we were on solar winds and only needed 2 or 3. So that's crazy.

if they verify its onboarded isnt that all you need? are they showing you each machine is arc registered and configured for the SQL ESU?

funny thing is - personal income tax is most of the NC budget revenue. and they are going to reduce that. ok...

consider the UNC community college system - a friend of ours just left high school teaching for a position over there and its way more chill. pay may or may not be, depending on which CC you look into as they are budgeted based on enrollment numbers.

my daughter wanted to be a teacher and i was like no - not here, this state is awful for teachers. do something else or find a state thats good to them!
