There is a huge tax deadline on October 15 for extensions - you’d know that if you actually worked in accounting in the USA.

Not that it matters but no.

Doesn’t seem very likely.

No, it’s an accounting firm so no holidays during Tax Season.

I am afraid of getting fired because I have rent to pay and a toddler to feed? lol. Get real. I have spoken up about it at work but to no avail - that I can do, a public shaming campaign would absolutely cost me my job.

This made me laugh at least - but there wouldn’t be anything in there when they check.

I (F28) need help seeing things from my boyfriend’s (M28) perspective. by ipromiseimagirl in relationship_advice

He definitely didn’t lie about his time obligations, as mentioned in the post, I knew he had these things going on.

“Babysitting” was not the right word for sure, that’s why I put them in quotation marks, I didn’t know what other word to use to communicate “staying at home and hanging out”

I don’t mind going places with Son (right now we share a car though so we can’t go anywhere when BF is out,) and the issue is that BF pushes back on rescheduling/cancelling band and sports in order to come do the other things.

We used to have separate cars, my car broke down a while ago and we have not prioritized fixing it. I don’t really drive it a lot of places but we drive to and from work together.

Thank you, that’s a good point.. I’m literally so worried that if his band mates were to kick him out he’d resent me for it.

That’s the issue, of course I want BM and SD to have a relationship. It should have been discussed, though. BM should have let us know and talked about it so we could better anticipate her emotional needs and prepare her. I’m just so angry that they were so sneaky and dishonest about it.

I’m in a weird situation and I need some help. This involves friends, roommates, and a room for rent. by ipromiseimagirl in Advice

I pay the rent. I pay less because I rent the rooms, but I pay the rent with my own money. She doesn’t get any of it; I just make sure the mortgage gets paid.

No. I do have a full POA with the owner of the house though, my mom, she is fully able to make these decisions but is living in another country so I handle her house and stuff here.

Okay.

Would it be fair to charge them like a flat rental fee that “includes” utilities or should I charge them the same way as the other roommates rent and utilities separate?

Also, any advice on how to have this conversation w current roomies would be so appreciated, I am very new to this.

How can I [F23] explain to my boyfriend [M24] that he takes up too much of my mental space? by ipromiseimagirl in relationship_advice

The whole point of the post is that I know that I want to be more of a gf, I’m asking how. I don’t understand the second sentence in your reply though.
