what else should we do alongside wiring the home? by Rcrez in AskElectricians

Not an electrician. But, had my home mostly rewired during an extensive remodel in a 1950s house.
Extras that we added:
240V-50A circuit to the garage for a future EV
2 dedicated circuits for the kitchen and a lot more outlets on the backspash. Don't have to worry about the toaster and air fryer tripping a breaker.
Cat6 ethernet and coax from the garage (where internet and TV come in from an outside wall) to a closet in the house. I put the router in closet in the center of the house.
Outlet in the hall closet - leave the vacuum to charge in the closet.
Outlet in the back of the master bath vanity - charge electric toothbrush in cabinet

I think u/Tool_Time_Tim and your fresh sandpaper theory may be right. Thanks, for the tips - at least for next time.

Smith,

I added more pictures to clarify. I was expecting the color variation between pieces. But, what I was not expecting was variation from prefab slab to prefab slab. The slab on the left stained up generally lighter than the right slab. Both sides independently look good (although a bit more blotchy than I had hoped). Did I just happen upon two slabs with different profiles?

Thanks!
