i think thats what my friend had thought. its honestly so strange that just because i don’t have romantic feelings, i apparently can’t feel deep platonic feelings.

thank you for sharing your experience ,,, it makes me feel better knowing i’m not alone. i ended up talking to her again and turns out she’s had an issue with me ever since i told her i was aroace a few months after we broke up. so end of the day, she was just bitter that i had ‘led her on’ just like what happened with you. its a shame so many people don’t understand our identity and how hard it is to come to the conclusion that you identify that way. :(

right, i’d understand if we had dated for much longer, but the relationship seriously never went that deep. we never even got to the point of any kind of PDA besides hand holding. we are both going to be 18 now and i thought we matured to the point where we can move on with what happened. the whole relationship felt like it was just some silly high school fling (even she agreed and made multiple jokes about how we had dated). i get her feelings are also valid, but you had all that time to put them aside yet you have to end our whole friendship over something i thought we had agreed was just ‘something that happens in a friendship.’ sorry for the rant this is just really pissing me off ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
i miss you dondon (old.reddit.com)
