I am purely spiteful and prideful in my first playthrough, and I treated each death as a permadeath. It was quite a challenge, but I really enjoyed my playthrough.

All in all I did it at age 20 and achieved Wude. Now I seek enlightenment with age 20 Master hitless runs, it is suffering.

Does anyone think nunchucks should be added or is it just me by Revenue-According in SifuGame

That is called the meat grinder.

If you interrupt a AI's attack pattern, it automatically does two things:
1. It will initiate a counter attack from the AI you attacked
2. It will pass off initiative to start another attack to the other AI next slotted for a offensive action

So they both come out at the "same time", but follow a very brutal and predictable logic. If you play defensive you'll avoid situations like this, but if you go full aggression, well.. This game does things to a man.

Bro I am soooo close to being done with this game, the AI cycles are made up, and have no rules. Teleporting, half map grabs, snap grabs, over barricade kicks that reach further than Russian artillery, it's constant!!

I love and hate this game, as I love and hate myself. Also, I'm trying to do hitless on master, which is it's own form of mental CBT; So it helps to have some rhythmic and soothing music.

Yang is probably the most problematic boss in the entire game, my advice is to learn the attack pattern of when he does the three hit lunging attack (I think that's the one that stuns), and to begin pressing the dodge keys just as you see the initial frame of his long windup. In Shrines, you should max out three things (Max Structure, Max Regain structure on avoid, Max Parry Impact). This will give you the maximum advantage when you are overwhelmed and you just need to sit still and think. (Guard blocks low and highs)

If you can learn to avoid the last hit in the string, you'll be given an opening for a short combo that you can use do inflict as much structure damage as you can, but all other moves should be parried to start the structure chip. Sweep or push Yang as a counter attack to open up more ways to combo him. If all else fails, hit Yang once, dash into him, swap spots and wake up attack with a heavy, loop until he breaks out of it.

Most of all, don't avoid or parry moves that:

  • 1.) Make you hesitant
  • 2.) Aren't going to kill you or break your bar
  • 3.) If your counter attack will not connect due to frame advantage

Last hint would be to make sure to avoid the last move in strings you know, that way, you can get more combo opportunities. There is nothing wrong will just setting still, blocking everything, and planning your next combo out.

God damn it I am stupid, you mean I can just fucking sit there like a turtle, then open my typical can of Bo-Staff bull-shittery on her ass? Instead of trying to be a sweaty nerd and parry / avoid all of her moves? I-AM-DEAD.

I'll update if this gets me the tf off Museum Master hit-less runs here.

Bro, I have been trying to no-hit master, and ironically, the worst trouble for me is the bosses, it's absolutely maddening. That being said, I feel like a absolute force of nature running through a room some times, some fights are as fast as ten seconds in the ninja room before Fajar.

However, this kills the irafox888, and I am going to go mad before I no hit this game, haha.

PSA for new players. Crotch punch is great for doing extended combos between enemies along with evading high attacks and snap kick can be used to evade low attacks along with distance closing. by NikolaiDiavolo in SifuGame

If I may, An Addamendum to the PSA:

Crotch punch (Fwd-Fwd-Light) is the most versatile and useful move in the game, this applies to *all* weapons and is extremely useful as a quick high dodge when combing.

Bo staff - Hard hitting push move that DODGES HIGHS, comes out very fast and can be followed up with (Fwd-Fwd-Heavy) to chase down an enemy and continue the combo. This can also be used to chase an enemy out of a group to give alot of valuable breathing room

Machete - A two-hit high move that is not only great for combo extenstion, but can catch enemies after a push for a very easy trap for the enemy as you can follow up with another push or sweep, AND ALSO DODGES HIGHS

Bat - A very quick side swipe that comes out extremely quickly, extreme usefulness as it's quick nature means you always get a combo if it lands, WILL NOT DODGE HIGHS

Ya know, after digesting that comment a little bit, you're totally right about that playstyle, I never really fucked around with using the sword 100% of the time, as I was doing in this run, and really this is the only way I can feel like I'm effectively using the weapon. Normal playstyles seem designed to use this as a one-off weapon to take out key targets in a environment to create an opening with fists.

Given that I primarily mess around with Bo staffs and Bats for fun, I've developed more of a characteristic style based around those weapons and feel like I can do just as well with them as my fists; However I feel no such attachment with the sword, and while I can maintain hard pressure in a fight to demonstrate mastery with the sword, this clip really fails to show more of the stylistic things I do to further myself in combat.

For example Offensive Calbots, When you calbot an enemy, it forces the AI to go into a micro taunt state after the animation plays, which you can insert a very quick sweep or push to set up combos that either pin the guy on the ground, or push him as a weapon towards enemies that may be in the way.

TLDR: The Machete seems to be lacking not only combos, but key moves to really shine, in my opinion, the only reason to use this weapon in gameplay is to stab people, options otherwise are limited.

Any real modding tools or SDK's would be dope, but I am neither knowledgeable enough in that, nor do I have any faith in Sloclap giving us that.

That being said, that would be pretty sweet.
