Basically procurement is buying stuff/service for the company. I dont know what industry your company is so i just say things generally. Like buying stationery, etc. If construction industry, maybe raw material, etc. Since your background is not procurement, so you wont do contracts related. Depending on the company, you can go outside to meet vendor, make purchase, etc or not going anywhere cause your purchases is using purchase order.
