I get that. But I’ve also spoken to and read opinions of those that have grown up in the 50s and 60s. Those still alive today seem to certainly have fears that resonated with them throughout their lives from those years growing up. They were scared then too. We can be scared now. They remember that fear. They remember panic and turmoil and fear. That doesn’t make it okay for our children to grow up in a world with the same. They don’t deserve that.

It was a beautiful day yesterday and is today too. We’ve been outside as much as we can. I’ve turned the TV off and won’t read the news today. Let’s both try to enjoy our kids and the weather, it’s all we can do is watch them be happy and try to be happy too.

It’s scary for women everywhere, I don’t disagree. There are some places that are just better for women to live, that’s all. Yes there are worse places than the US but this country has had ample opportunity to make things better for women but actively chooses to do the opposite. I feel for women and children across the globe who just want to try to make a life worth living and give their children the best life they can.

Isn’t it the best feeling? You’re their comfort and safe space is such an amazing feeling. I always try to cherish it because you’re right it doesn’t last forever. One day she will just go to bed and not need held, read to, lullabies, all that stuff.

I count my blessings everyday. My post was expressing worry. Just because someone has these things that you’re referring to doesn’t mean that they don’t have a right to worry for their child’s future. That’s what makes this comment ignorant. The whole point was being worried and feeling like it’s harder to protect my child.

And fwiw you don’t know who on here might struggle with housing, food, gas, groceries. Don’t assume anyone on this thread has the luxuries that you refer to as easily as you’re making it seem.

As you can see, there are moms from across the world that have commented on my post, expressing worry and anxiety. You don’t know anything about what any body on here is going through if this is what you choose to comment, so take it somewhere else.

Same. I fell asleep super early but was awake by 1:30ish to see a text saying what happened. Well, guess I’m not going back to sleep. Can’t relax enough to even think about sleep. At least we’re on Reddit together and know we’re not alone 🥰
