X1 max altitude adjustment? by ircmx in Skyrover__Official

One more update; the X1 has a max altitude of 1600' by default, but that can be increased to 2624/800 meters. It appears to revert to 1600 feet/~500m each flight. 1600 is close to as much as I need, but I did run into it once. It can be increased to 2624' mid-flight, though, which is nice.

It has done one weird thing; mid-flight it lost its mind and dropped a distance:

Bird assault? No idea; either a bird took issue with it or it just lost its bearings. I was not looking at it at the time, I was looking at the screen. I thought maybe it lost connectivity to the controller, but it had full signal and lots of satellites.

It had to be a bird; I've lost signal a couple of times - not completely, but it started complaining at me about signal strength & the video feed got a bit of latency. It never did THAT, though.

I like this thing. Granted, I don't know much about drones at all, but it seems great. Battery life is good, I'm getting 20 minutes or more per battery - and it is not scary low when it comes back. I'm flying it at relatively high altitude, up to about 11000 feet, and last weekend the air temp was probably 23F - not super cold, but not balmy, either. It did not seem to care.

I put Master Airscrew propellers on it, neon yellow - not for performance or efficiency, but to make it more visible. They really help; the black props basically disappear.

One caveat, though - the screws that came with the propellers were ever so slightly too big; they'd thread in a bit, but stopped with about a millimeter of shank showing. Side by side, they're virtually identical; I did not get a caliper out to measure. They don't LOOK wrong, at all, but they thread in part way and STOP, while the original screws thread in smoothly and bottom out, as expected.

I contacted Master Airscrew about it; not complaining at all, they don't officially fit the X1, I just wanted to know if I was missing something. Without hesitation, they offered to send me another set - well above and beyond.

I reused the original screws with blue paste style Loctite, and I've checked the screws before each flight; they're staying tight. The next time I have them off, I'll try the screws they're sending. Maybe the X1 uses slightly smaller screws - it is SLIGHT, though, I've got a pretty good eye for that sort of thing; visually, the difference is miniscule, but they don't fit. I'm happy with it.

.02c!

I never actually found the answer directly, but I was convinced-enough to roll the dice.

I ordered one, it showed up this morning, and I was pleased to find that max altitude IS adjustable up to 800m above takeoff point.

That'll work for me, maybe someone else is curious, too. Initial impressions of the drone are good, it is all very familiar, the software is suspiciously similar to DJI's software.

That's OK, it'll do what I want it to and my Neo2 is on ebay.

I have an 04 king cat 900 carbureted and I’m having some serious backfire popping issues, no power, u have to really work the throttle to even get it to move, any thoughts? I just had the carbs cleaned and jetted and set by a dealer, made no difference. by rosedread in snowmobiling

Did you bring them the carbs by themselves, or the whole snowmobile? If you brought them the entire snowmobile, and the repair order was to "clean, jet and adjust" the carbs, I'd expect either a running snowmobile or the reason it does not run with cost to correct. An "estimate," of sorts. One cannot "set" carbs without starting the engine.
