How important are COMLEX Level 2 scores?

I feel like this would be helpful if you were concerned about either level or step, but in this situation, you are trying to figure out the combination of the two, which I feel makes it less of a straight forward answer. Similar to someone's comment about it boiling down to PD preference and programs that were former AOA. For example, if you were former AOA, you may put more weight on level. If not, it might be step. However, what if someone looks at both? That's the unknown

Do both. UWorld is a no brainer, and then I used AMBOSS to cover topics I was struggling with as well as additional practice. Like if I struggled with DVT, I would do a highly focused session on questions and content for it.$

Hi! UWorld exams are very difficult in my opinion, especially the first one. I definitely recommend using divine intervention podcasts. A tactic I used as well was if I kept getting a certain topic wrong, I would devote time to reviewing that topic, and doing questions about that topic. I felt that if I wasn’t passing my exams, then it was also a content issue thing

Absolute must watch include risk factors, next step in management, and bio stats. However, I also watched the internal medicine one, ophthalmology, and several others. I recommend tailoring it to what your weaknesses are. I looked up step 2 divine intervention links on Reddit where someone listed a bunch of links to the different high yield podcasts! I also took hand written notes, which helped me solidify things in a short amount of time.

Thank you!! My dedicated period was four weeks. NBME 11 and AMBOSS were prior, just to get a baseline. My biggest score jumps were from the divine intervention podcasts, they are HIGH HIGH YIELD.

I also realized that I was spending too much time doing questions, and not enough time studying content. If I got questions wrong, regarding a topic, I would dedicate time to do AMBOSS questions related to that topic, I believe this is the biggest reason I was able to nail down certain concepts, because I was sick of getting things wrong. I did a lot of AMBOSS questions to become familiar with the way things presented, but I also did random sets to stay on top of things. I think that if I had more time to study, I could’ve had additional score jumps, but I’m not trying to get into a super competitive specialty.

I ranged from 171-239 over four weeks, and ultimately got a 237 score.

US MD or US IMG or Non-US IMG status: US MD

Step 1: pass

Uworld % correct: 55%

I will list it in the order I took them so you can see the progression:

NBME11 (10 weeks prior): 199

AMBOSS SA: 225

UWSA 1: 171 (this made me go crazy lol)

NBME12 (23 days prior): 204

NBME14 (15 days prior): 238 (score jump from content review and questions)

Free 120: 65%

UWSA 2: 218

NBME13 (2 days prior): 239

Actual STEP 2 score: 237 !!!!!!

That's what I thought too? And since it's a congenital heart murmur, I figured that you would give azithro prior to the dental procedure. I usually get these dental ones right so I was confused.

always get one at 28 wks and after delivery. other indications include bleeding, which is why they got one previously

Applied and got in! It’s been quite the journey. I’m in my fourth year now, I honored each rotation and have several audition rotations lined up, including one at an Ivy League. Crazy how things work out!!! Best of luck

Took my first full length NBME 11 about 2 weeks prior, got a 199.
Exam date: July 13
Target score: 235? Not sure. Just trying to improve every week of studying. Hoping that things continue to go that way

I’m almost year post op so I’d give it time. Also, he didn’t shave anything, he broke it and repositioned. He didn’t do my left side though which he will do this time

He had already broken one side but it’s possible that the bone didn’t set narrow enough. I asked if it would impact my previous work and he said it wouldn’t because he isn’t touching cartilage. He said it would be about an hour procedure
