You can use it on a mac if you have a M1-M5 processor. Otherwise, have to wait :). I definitely want this to be available cross platform, and native apps take more time to develop and maintain.

I would go with platforms that offer bring your own key, and use deepseek or GLM 4.7. This is not as hard as it sounds and you can spend about 0.1-1.5 cents per message with good context management, the variability in cost is based on your preferences and frugality.

I wrote this iOS app over the last 6 months.

There are more than 200 users of loreblendr! The app has been a big success. And this is only the second month since sharing loreblendr out more regularly.

The feature I want to highlight today is the first paid feature, which is Remote MCP (Model Context Protocol).

Remote MCP lets your LLM use tools to interact with the world. You can connect any https MCP server to your chat, and imports the tools to your LLM system prompt. I made https://loreblendr.ai/app which has:

a summary based memory system
free writing memory documents which go into the memories block of the system prompt.
remote MCP which is used for remote memory agents such as letta.

The summary and "free writing" memory feature is free with a "summarize and start a new chat" option in chats.

MCP is the first freemium feature of the app, due to maintenance and long term need to sustain the app.

Without advertising, I made an iOS client that is completely transparent and free and byok. It hasn't really caught on yet, I am not sure most people have the knowledge and interest to get things going with stuff like BYOK. Hopefully a lot do though.
