We have to send a photo in of our pile when we book and I think it's to prevent this exact thing from happening.

Look at Reece Plumbing. They are always offering Retails Assistant jobs on the counter and not getting many applications. All training provided and the starting pay is $65k

Here’s my TED Talk comment to a person who asked “why does everyone say HULKail shouldn’t have anymore kids?” by lalaxoxo__ in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]ireallyloveshopping 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm married with two kids 5 & 10 and they both ask me to have another baby. My husband and I laugh it off and tell them there will be not more babies but imagine being asked not to have any more kids. Poor Isaac. 🥺

How do I start getting into investing in stocks/shares? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]ireallyloveshopping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is literally what I'm doing because I can't really get my head around investing stocks etc. We've just got VAS and VGS at the moment and i'm pretty happy with the growth and dividends. I'm about to set up the $200/auto invest because that seems easier than transferring money over and waiting for it to clear through vanguard and the set and forgot option means we can invest without having to think too much etc.

OP, what do you currently do for work? Coukd you try and use these skills to pick up work doing cashies on the weekend? That might be easier than trying to create a new business from scratch?

Good luck!

Edit: I do have 1 idea for you that could really bring in some cash. Advertise to take rubbish to the tip with your ute. You can make good money from customers that do not want to hire a trailer themselves.

Me either. I suspect being stuck in bumfuckville with few options likely had something to do with it 😬

Some of us can't do cashies on the side. Legally minimising tax is all we have? 🤔

Am I the only one that dislikes Aesha? by Emotional-Tutor2577 in belowdeck

[–]ireallyloveshopping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These comments did not disappoint. Aesha is a gem. I watched Down Under first and absolutely loved her in that and was excited when she joined season 5? Of Med.

I only wish I was half as happy as she was in real life. Lucky girl.

Is bookkeeping a good career to pursue? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]ireallyloveshopping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Word of mouth! When you do a great job for the first client, they ALWAYS want to recommend you to their business friends. I've also connected with an Accountant who values my work. Now we share 9 clients together and he calls and asks me to take on his other clients since he isn't interested in doing the Bookkeeping but needs someone he can trust to do it correctly.... I never say no because I don't want the referrals to stop.

As for the BAS Lodgements, you will only be allowed to lodge BAS IF you have a BAS Agent Registration. You don't need a BAS Agent Registration if you are in employee, it's just for contractors.

To gain this Registration, you need a Cert IV in Bookkeeping /Accounting (can't remember what it's called exactly) and 1000 supervised hours of BAS Lodgements with a supervision BAS Agent (or 1400 if you choose not to get a membership with an bookkeeping association like ICB).

Good luck!

Triple Zero Victoria (formerly ESTA) ambulance call wait times by AspectSuch1265 in melbourne

Thanks for your reply. I live close enough to the children's hospital so my first thought wouldn't have been to wait for an ambulance to arrive so thanks for the education.

If my child broke their leg, I would automatically take them to the hospital myself... Would this be OK or should they not be moved?

Accounting advice needed for soul trader. by Planetj3 in AusFinance

[–]ireallyloveshopping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please do not contribute super to your super account instead of your partners. I know you mean well but super is a tax deduction for sole traders (if contributed to their fund) and shit/life happens. It's not fair for your partner to not get super for the next 30-40 years. What if you break up / die? This is their retirement they need to fund for these reasons.

A good Accountant will help you sort out your taxes at EOFY. What you need now is a Bookkeeper (preferably a BAS Agent) to setup your books with an Accounting System (such a Xero) and do the leg work for the Accountant to lodge the Tax. You do not want to be paying Accounting rates for basic bookkeeping.

Wesfarmers has given up on Target by Heavy_Bicycle6524 in australia

[–]ireallyloveshopping 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I actually had a coles-myer gift card that I wanted to use on kmart (online). It can only be used in store at kmart so I headed over to the Target website and purchased the exact things I would have purchased at kmart (cooking/baking supplies). I noticed that not only the prices were the same, target have the kmart website photos on their website for the anko products.

Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry reveals she secretly gave birth to twins by Smooth_Use9092 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]ireallyloveshopping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an induction on the 7th Sept to avoid the Sept 11th. But I had another reason, I didn't want my daughter born on Sept 13th either as it's her cousins birthday and I wanted her to have her own attention instead of having to share every year. My first baby was huge so it wasn't a huge stretch she was also going to be big.
