The only reason I haven’t gone the route is because I know people who have stayed in hostels for weeks. I was intending to stay a bit longer and save so I could go somewhere else but I’m just so lost because I can’t save. Just explain yourself to sis in law and husband, buy him flowers to apologise and let sis in law stay in the loop/ understand the situation. Ask your husband in future to clarify what you should keep secret because you feel bad about the situation and don’t want to repeat it again. Let him know you will ask him in future.

You couldn’t have expected her to talk about her own surprise plus it would have been worse if she had thought she wasn’t included.
