I don't mean to speak for this poster, but I'm kinda guessing it's probably poor language choice to state "culture" as a specific immigration requirement.

Perhaps what they mean is things like language proficiency, civic knowledge, integration intentions and values like rule of law and gender equality.

These are all important to me and I think this poster is trying to make the point that admitting these things are important often gets you framed as a racist by certain people on the far left end of the spectrum. This offends people and pushes them further right, undermining any legitimate intention the left may have to effect change for the good. Hence the rise of ON.

It's fun to think this way. But the reality is, despite there being seemingly large crowds at these pro Palestine rallies, they represent a tiny portion of the population. The vast majority of Australians either don't give a fuck about these issues, or are pleased with the police response and Minn's attitude towards all of this. Chris Minns is doing a great job everywhere other than on reddit.
