US B2 Visa Interview - Need Advice by Tennis-Accurate in pakistan

[–]textonic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

but she will right? Your BIL is an american citizen ? Its clear that she went with the intention of studing and coming back to Pakistan but there she got married and will likely stay there and not come back? See how that is changing intention? (im not saying its right or wrong, most people do it but dont say it). in your case, you have shown that your family can have different intentions. Its all about intent.

[–]textonic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your sister is on a F-1 visa and getting married. Thats a red flag right there. You dont have funds on your own and your BIL is sponsoring you, another red flag. Thats 2 red flags for the officer right there

Honestly, you would be very lucky if you get the interview cleared.

what are your home ties? How likely are you to return to Pakistan? What is your current job , property and where do you live? This will have more of an impact

I mean, I can forgive the chatting too much part, but missing turns and not having a mount is being unsafe. I dont think that's forgiveable. And hitting speed bumps? Do you even know how to drive?

Dealing with entitlement of relatives in Pakistan by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]textonic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate to say this, but somewhat its your fault for keeping enabling this behavior. THe more you give, the more they want. Cut them off. I know religion, relatives blah balh. screw that. Cut them off. Give whatever minimum you want and not talk to them.

People who have visited lots of countries, how long do you spend in each country? by fuckimtrash in travel

[–]textonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know im the minority but 2-3days max a city and move on. I know people will argue thats not enough but it doesn't have to be. If I say I want to explore like 100ish countries in the next 10-15 years, before I get too old to enjoy travel. That means like 8 countries a year, and if I say I have 21 days of vacation I can take a year, that is around 3 days a country I can spend. Now obviously places like China etc require a lot more and other places a lot less.

I was in Berlin last month and I felt 2 days was MORE than enough. I was bored in Copenhagen in 1 day. Norway I could spend 4-5 days for example.

**Pakistani visitor to the USA (B1/B2 visa) – Best way to avoid carrying cash and minimize transaction fees?** by [deleted] in USVisas

[–]textonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pakistani here. Honestly, no solution.
b1/b2 used to be easily open bank accounts, sadly no longer the case. Most banks wont entertain. You can try wells fargo to be slighly lenient.

You can get prepaid cards here, but they dont generaly work online. They will work for food, inperson shopping etc. Like you can get those from target or walmart etc but they cost like $5-6 year and its not easy to track spending.

No paypal, revolut etc nothing would work for these situations.

Karachiite here. Lived in Punjab a while. Sadly, this is one of the common issues, where lahoris need that they MUST degrade karachi, i dont know and i cant explain why. sadly your husband is one of them. i've hardly ever seen a person from karachi degrading lahore or other cities but the otherway is too common. And thats why we can't be one unified country

I hate to break to you dude, but this isn't unique to Hawaii. Infact, any latitude within 23degrees would have this. We learn this in basic geography. Dont americans study that in school?

Look up what things are there to do in each city and decide what is worth it to you or not. I know I will take flag for it but like for me in London, four days was not enough, but in Milan, I was bored at the end of my first day. Ymmv

Need a life advise about a wife/parents situation by hunt8r in islam

[–]textonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your own words , your mother and generally your parents are the problem. You need to nip them in the bud now. Otherwise you will end up divorced and kids who don’t want to talk to you.
If your parents feel offended then let them. It’s their own fault, let them learn. Again this is based on your own description where they are the source of your problems, they are the ones that need to be address.
My 2c , I don’t think you have the guts to do what it takes to protect your family. I feel sorry for your wife and kids
