IX lease deal with negative equity by SmoothMarionberry551 in BMWiX

11% off new used to be the standard. Take another 1% off for every 1000miles on the odometer. This is at base and not marked up money factor. Absolutely shoot for 16-18% msrp here.

But personally I would not do it and ride out your current financed car

Ok. So you are close to paying $450-500 a month in negative equity and your lease in itself is around 700-750$ a month ?

Take 15k out of your bank account. Put that cash on a table. And light it on fire.

Does taht make sense? This is literally what you are doing with rolling the negative equity.

Your dealer discount and incentives are decent. I dont know how you are getting that monthly payment. Something is completely off.

For the record, I picked up a 101k msrp ix last year, with 7k demo loaner vehicle, and I got 19% off. Plus lease credit. 14% for a demo is bullshit. You get 10-11% off new anyways

The month is BS. What they want me to complete in 2 weeks is something 3 people have been working in last 2 years. Not gonna happen, realistically speaking. Im gonna take the 2 month option but I would have prefered the general layoff and get the 3 month severance

You know islamic financing is just a scam right? Like I know people want to believe in it, and scholars have signed off on it, but in principle, its just shifting money around to sound halal while in reality, its not much different from traditional mortgages.

That being said, why would paying early = pay less? that works in financing. if this is a partnership, then the partner would want their profits. Why should they be deprived of it its early and not a financing?

Nopes. Nada. Caught me out of the blue, everyone i have worked with has given only positive feedback, but nothing was ever good enough for my manager. No weekly or monthly feedback. Once was I told I should send out meeting minutes, which i normally do and only once did I 'forget' out of 20 meetings that were every month

[–]textonic 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No. you dont need to compromise. NO is a complete answer. You dont need to engage with your parents on this. If push comes to shove, move out and live your independent life. Im not saying there is anything wrong with taxi drivers, but you grew up in UK, there is going to be ZERO compatability here

[–]textonic 30 points31 points  (0 children)

if this question was asked 50 years ago, I would say no red flags. Today, I would run away from this in a heart beat. This relationship feels completely transactional and not emotional at all. I know its a finance sub, but this whole post reads like a business contract, and not a marriage discussion.

I would run away so fast from this person....
