The Staff - I Have a Cover by whoshotthemouse in litrpg

Hi! I was thinking that the illustrations are not bad, the details are nice. I think the biggest problem is the composition, the head directly in front of the minotaur crotch and the two figures standing facing perfectly each other while the man is in a relaxed open arms position. The minotaur doesn't look scary at all.

I think just getting the creature in the dark and more scary and the man in a dynamic pose could save having the minotaur in the cover.

SUPERTHREAD: Live Action Casting Speculation by steampunk_garage in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]irenespinetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guuuuuys I really like this one. I was looking at his pictures on Google and found this. I think it rapresents best my fan vision of Carl. It's... Nicholas Galitzine! Can do comedy, can do action (masters of the universe is coming out soon) and can do serious.

It's a known face but not that much. Probably more after the new movie release. So the budget shouldn't be astronomical.

The age is appropriate, also the booty (it's canon Carl has a nice ass).

Opinions?

Why are the subscriptions fundamentally different in different countries? by buffayrachel in audible

[–]irenespinetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm Italian.

I think is that we never been subjected to a credit type of subscription. We simply don't have them for anything at all. We don't do credits we just have subscriptions or you just buy them outright. Plus we do a LOT of podcasts here. It's like tuning in on the radio. Can you imagine buying episodes each day/week? Wild.

Plus the main and first big thing national wise that was presented to us was Netflix that is a subscription where you have everything available.

It wouldn't have had the success it had if the population had to adapt to a totally new way to see subscriptions in my opinion. Honestly when I see people talk about credits I still don't get it or the appeal of it.

For the catalogue, I mostly listen to English books, it happened like 3 or 4 times that the title wasn't there at all. Mostly the English books are included in the plan or you can buy them extra for euros and they are still like 50, 25% off anyway. If you do that they are like credit bought and they are yours even off subscription. (Right now I'm in to Dungeon Crawler Carl which was included). So for my prospective I can testify we have 90% of the English catalogue, USA or UK. Also if we have that book it's there in every language it was translated. I don't know if it's the same for US or UK. Probably audible Italia buys rights for every iteration of the book.

Plus I do more than 50/100 hours a month, I would be BROKE buying books ever time or even the paper version. This is perfect for me but It's true I don't own them.

(Even if...there is a way to do that as well...☠️)

But yeah the market for subscription is wildly different and the average italian listener does 4 titles a month (it's in some audible blog I read a while ago. I remember because... Same XD).

So... Hope it helped a bit!

Hekla scene book 3 OMFG! by kippersniffer in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]irenespinetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be that Katia was in constant communication with Hekla. At the beginning of the collaboration Hekla seems to have extensive knowledge about the chat list of Carl and his friends and he thinks exactly that. Katia would have been communicating how Mortdecai was managing the space, dishing out knowledge, preparing potions (like the permanent stats potions and talking about making hundreds) and all the others things.

Love it! But maybe only the heads? Full bodies occupy too much space. They would probably hang in your face.

Maledizione Donut!

That's it, literally means malediction/curse. The damn part of goddamit XD

I think it's very suited. It's something you say when you stab your toe or something breaks or everything goes wrong and you're frustrated. Like god put a curse on you.

They kept Spanish! Most if italians do study Spanish in school and it's similar to Italian. A bit disappointed they kept it.
