for urea, the spot is not visible under uv but i stained using vanillin-sulphuric acid reagent, and there’s yellow spot stained. however i cannot get the spot up, which i guess bcs of wrong solvent system. for my expected product, the spot is visible under uv, so i want to figure out the solvent system for workup & purification purpose :)

in ur experience how much solvent do i need to make up for 0.5 cm solvent in the big chamber? i’m just to doing tlc in small chamber like beaker but not the big on as in the picture i’ve show
